ANZ Travel Card drops complimentary lounge access on 1st April 2017

ANZ Travel Card Singapore drops complimentary lounge access

We saw this coming.

When ANZ Travel Card changed the lounges that we could access in 2014, we knew that good things wouldn’t last this long. Then, as long as you were an ANZ Travel Visa credit card holder, you’ll be able to access lounges at Singapore Changi Airport (and across the region) for free. Since 2014, lounges changed to those without alcohol/full buffet access. Although the new Airport Wellness Oasis lounge at T1 with complimentary fish spa ain’t too bad, we knew it wouldn’t last.

On 1 April 2017 (April Fool’s Day joke?), the inevitable is going to happen…

With effect from 1 April 2017, ANZ Travel Visa Signature Card complimentary airport lounge and airport limousine transfer programme will cease.

In place, you’ll have to spend $10,000 in each calendar quarter to receive 2 complimentary access passes to DragonPass lounges. TWO.

This means that ANZ Travel Card has dropped in its value as a lounge credit card. Nonetheless, its miles earning rate at 1.4 miles per SGD is still one of the highest around.
