Festival For Good 2017: Show Your Support for Singapore’s Social Enterprises!

Festival For Good is back for the second year running and Festival for Good 2017 promises to be bigger
and brighter this year to showcase the nation’s vibrant social enterprises, and celebrate their spirit, innovation, and passion to do good through their businesses!

Instead of supporting charitable organisations, we firmly believe that social enterprises would be the more sustainable way to help segments of our society to progress together with the nation. We have written extensively during our Festive For Good post last year on why you should support Singapore’s social enterprises too!

Here are some highlights that you can expect this year at Festival For Good 2017!

Shop and support social good

– Shop for a good cause by browsing our curated selection of hand-crafted jewellery, bags and up-cycled accessories produced by social enterprises that help marginalised people.

Experience social enterprises in a brand-new Festival feature

– For the first time, the Festival is bringing Experience Capsules to FestivalForGood where attendees can embark on one-of-a-kind immersive sensory adventures.

– Journey into a world without sight with an experiential tour in complete darkness by *Dialogue in the Dark *, and sample smoothing tea in complete silence while feeling rejuvenated at *Hush TeaBar *’s meditative tea appreciation session facilitated by the hearing-impaired.

– Pamper yourself with a mani-pedi by *The Nail Social * or dabble in flower arrangement with *Hello Flowers *, and support their programmes that empower, train and employ disadvantaged women.

Savour delectable food bites

– Want to satisfy your sweet tooth? Drop by *Flourish Culinary * and grab one of their special treats baked by students with special needs, or *The Ugly Cake Shop *, which uses all-natural ingredients and omits artificial colouring and flavourings, while contributing to school nutrition funds in Timor Leste.

– Also check out *Ahhmahgawd *, which offers over 100 healthy and nutritious bento options tailored for various dietary needs and provides employment opportunities for disadvantaged groups.
