The Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel was where we stayed at during our recent trip to Los Angeles. During this trip we also attended Worship Night in America at the Forum. If you’re looking for a hotel near the Los Angeles Airport and the Forum, look no further than The Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel and here’s why…

The Executive rooms are located at level 11 and 12 of the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel. The rooms are spacious and are equipped with shower amenities, Starbucks coffee, refrigerator and cable. We were surprised by the welcome treat of dried fruits and nuts as well as a bottle of mineral water. 2 smaller bottles of water were complimentary as well.
But what we really enjoyed was the signature “Heavenly Bed” by Westin Hotels. The blankets were plush while the mattress and pillows provided firm support and comfort at the same time! In fact, we felt so comfortable during our night’s rest that we did not wake up even once in the night. Just slept right through the night! Some hotel rooms might also have air con vents that “threaten” your restful sleep. None here. Just quiet restful sleep that we thoroughly enjoyed. The next afternoon, we even took a short nap to pump up our energy levels before resuming our travels. Kudos to the team in Westin’s sleep programme. Great job!

Thanks to Wesley, our receptionist, we had a wonderful experience during the check-in process. We were informed about our check out time, wifi password, breakfast timing and a small nugget of information about the awesome Turkey sandwich at the Daily Grill! Also at the lobby, there’s the Daily Grill, a cafe as well as a gift shop – should you want to do some last minute shopping or even get some off-the-shelf medical supplies.
For the fitness buffs, there’s a gym that overlooks the swimming pool. Next to the pool, there’s also a hot tub, great for nights and winter seasons 😉
Thanks to the great folks at Westin, we were also extended the privilege of the Westin Executive Club Lounge. The Club Lounge serves evening hors d’oeuvres Monday through Thursday and breakfast Monday through Friday. Breakfast is served at the Cafe BLVD (located at the lobby) on weekends. Though the fare was simple, we enjoyed the waffles and salsa served during breakfast. Wimbledon finals was on at the same time where we witnessed Andy Murray beat Milos Raonic in an exciting match that ended 6-4, 7-6, 7-6.

We also took the recommendation of Wesley to check out Manhattan beach. Again, an excellent recommendation. We visited the aquarium at the end of the Manhattan Beach Pier and lazed next to the pier while listening to the sound of the waves. Pretty relaxing we must say. We then took a short walk around the quaint shops and restaurants in the vicinity. Do take note that unlike most board walks along the beach, residences are right next to the beach. Restaurants and shops are on the next street.

At the end of the night, we had a great night of worship with singers such as Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman and Phil Wickham. Before the concert tonight, Tom only knew songs such as “Heart of Worship”, “10,000 Reasons”, “How Great is our God” and “Good Good Father” but did not know the original singers. So it was kinda cool to finale see the original singers. Thank the Lord for His faithful servants!
