After visiting many attractions in Jeju on day 4, we decided to continue our travels in the southwest part of Jeju Island. This time, we visited attractions such as the Jeju Glass Castle, Innisfree Jeju House, Jeju Teddy Bear Museum, Sanbangsan and Suwolbong Peak. After breakfast, we started our day at Geumneung and Hyeopjae Beach…

Jeju Travel Itinerary – Geumneung and Hyeopjae Beach
If you’re looking for a beach getaway in Jeju, Geumneung and Hyeopjae Beaches are popular destinations. Clear blue waters and pristine beaches are huge draws for tourists from near and far. However, during our visit, it was a rather foggy day. Hence, we were only able to get a couple of shots. Nonetheless, it was low tide and we were able to walk along vast stretches of the beach. 😉 Do note that Geumneung beach and Hyeopjae beach are just next to each other and you can relocate your car in minutes to visit these 2 beaches at one go.
Jeju Travel Itinerary – Jeju Glass Castle
The entrance fees to Jeju Glass Castle costs 11,000krw for adults and 8,000krw for children.
As the exhibits at Jeju Glass Castle are largely outdoors, this venue is not a good alternative for rainy days. Nonetheless, for a foggy day, we still enjoyed the visit. Highlights for us include the the huge glass bear and Cheomseongdae as well as the forest walk with many interesting glass displays. Of course, the outdoors atmosphere of the glass art park was a unique experience. It felt as though we were in a set of “Alice in Wonderland”. Next, we headed to Kate’s favourite attraction in Jeju – Innisfree Jeju House!
Jeju Travel Itinerary – Innisfree Jeju House
Entry to Innisfree Jeju House is free. Parking is also free as well. However, as it is a WILDLY POPULAR tourist attraction in Jeju (one can only wonder why…), parking can be a hassle. There weren’t any parking lot available near Innisfree Jeju House and we had to park across the junction from it. The walk from the carpark took about 5 minutes, so it ain’t that bad. Before you enter Innisfree Jeju House, remember to head to the rows of tea leaves outside to take a shot with the rows of tea leaves there. As it was also foggy, there was a “natural feel” to the photo taken below, don’t you think?
Inside Innisfree Jeju House (aka Innisfree Jeju Glass House), there is a cafe and also a selection of cosmetics that you can choose from. There’s even an activities area for the kids. We realized that the deals here were not so good, so shopping for innisfree products can definitely be done else where. The cafe however, offered some cool selection. For instance, this time we had the Raspberry white latte (6,000krw) and Canola Flower Tangerine Tiramisu (6,500krw). Not only were they beautifully created, the natural tastes of raspberry and tangerine were refreshing yet subtle. A great addition to the Korean cafe scene 😉

Jeju Attractions – Jeju Teddy Bear Museum
As 2bearbear.com is a travel blog that features Tom and Kate bearbear, how can we miss a visit to our “hometown” – Jeju Teddy Bear Museum? Entrance fee to Jeju Teddy Bear Museum was 10,000krw per person.
Inside Jeju Teddy Bear Museum, there are 13 attraction zones including
1. Teddy Bear Museum Ticket Box
2. The History Gallery
Probably one of our favourite section inside Jeju Teddy Museum, we found the time travel bear exhibits particularly interesting. Not only did the exhibits move, we also found it interesting to try and spot the “Time Travel Bear” in each era that he visited. For the Qin Dynasty Excavation site, he even stripped naked to fit in! -_-” Unfortunately, the “Time Travel Bear” was not for sale at the Museum Gift Shop 🙁
3. The Art Gallery
4. Special Exhibition Hall
5. Teddy Bear Gift Shop
6. Teddy Bear Cafe
7. Garden Square
8. 9 Meter Slow Bear
9. Teddy’s Picnic
10 La Fontaine De L’Amour
11. Teddy’s Friends
12. Polar Bear Pond
13. Elvis Teddy Bear Theater
Other “Famous Bears” include
The visit ended with a small performance by Elvis (Teddy Bear) Presley where he relived his performance in Hawaii. We saw videos of this performance during our visit to Elvis’ hometown in Graceland, Memphis. Next, it was time for lunch. As we were still pretty full from the hotel’s breakfast, we decided to share a KFC meal. To our surprise, we found that Jeju’s KFC had a Beer Box Lunch Set! For 8,900krw, we had 3 pieces of chicken, a zinger burger, fries and a cup of draft beer! WHAT?!
The KFC we visited was just across the road (diagonally) from Teddy Bear Museum. Opposite this KFC, we also saw some Jeju Island mascots…
Jeju Attractions – Sanbangsan
Next, we headed to Sanbangsan – a famous lava dome in Jeju. The entrance fees costs 1,000krw per person.
As for parking, there’s both public (free) and paid parking. The free parking can be found in the vicinity of the Sanbangsan. Of course, the paid parking (2,000krw) is directly in front of Sanbangsan.
As the name suggests, there’s a cave within the mountain (yup, that’s what “Sanbang” means). However, we would not recommend climbing up Sanbangsan. Firstly, due to vegetation at the top of Sanbangsan, there isn’t much view that one can enjoy at the top. Secondly, the climb is rather steep and can be slippery at times. Though most of the stairs are well paved. Lastly, there’s only a temple at the top of the climb. Hence, for us, it’s not really a recommended climb.
Jeju Attractions – Suwolbong Peak
As for our last attraction for the day, we headed to Suwolbong Peak – known for its unique volcanic striations on cliffs lining the coastline…
Our drive to Suwolbong was relatively smooth except when we were closer to the area. Waze was not able to accurately pin-point the location of Suwolbong. Hence, signs of tour bus, a barrier or the monument you see above, are indications of where you should head to.
Although it was a very windy afternoon, we can imagine how enjoyable the walk along the coastal path at Suwolbong would be. The paths were well paved and the beautiful striations could be seen a long way off. However, be prepared to be startled by sea cockroaches along the walk – some small but some…not so small…
On the way back to Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Resort from Suwolbong Peak, we found a Korean restaurant known as Ihwasoo. Here, we were able to try Yukgaejang (beef brisket noodles/dongfen) at (10,000krw) which were actually very delicious. The noodles in particular had a springy texture. Yum!
Rounding off the evening, we enjoyed some tidbits back in JSW Landing Resort…
