During our 3rd day of travels in Okinawa, we headed from Ada Garden Hotel Okinawa to Kunigami village for breakfast. As our room did not include breakfast, our closest option was the convenience store in Kunigami village. As we were way up in the north part of Okinawa, wifi was a little patchy and we almost got lost eventhough it was only a 2km drive away. Hence, we drove back to the hotel and loaded our map before navigating to the village. Thankfully, after driving through some narrow roads, we were able to find it and had our breakfast!

This time, we bought 2 cream pastries (choc and caramel – 270 yen) as well as the recommended in-house coffee (100 yen). While visiting, we also saw our waiter who served us our sumptuous dinner last night, chilling out with the store owner. Seems to be a really small and close-knit community here.
Playing Putt Golf for the first time @ Okinawa Rail Ecological Center
After breakfast, we headed back to Okinawa Rail Ecological Center, again. However, this time, it was for a different reason. Located in the same location is a really HUGE Putt Golf Course!
Playing Putt Golf costs 400 yen per person with no limitation on time! Moreover, you could choose from 3 different Putt Golf courses here. Each course takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. So you could literally spend a day here for only ~6SGD per person!
So what is Putt Golf?
Well, as the name suggests, the game is played using a putter-like golf club – slightly larger than a real golf putter. The game itself is more like mini golf but the distance is slightly further and the ball is bigger. A great game to play if you don’t know about golf and just want to get some exercise out in the sun. Moreover, the views at Okinawa Rail Ecological Center’s Putt Golf Course, IS AMAZING!
Here’s an idea of how the Putt Golf Course looks like…
Kate was really off form and missed multiple times on simple putts. These turned out to be quite hilarious as we watched the video over and over again 🤣
Next, we headed to Cape Hedo to enjoy the sea views and beautiful cliff side formations…

Cape Hedo Okinawa and Fushikubu Cafe
Originally, we wanted to stop by Fushikubu Cafe at Cape Hedo for lunch and to try out its curry katsu. Unfortunately, we found out that it was no longer available. Nonetheless, we had the mixed pizza (1000 yen), ham cheese sandwich (350 yen) as well as the Aserora (local cherry frozen drink – 500 yen), along with the views that it offers…
During the meal, we also heard fellow Singaporeans visiting the Fushikubu Cafe – yup Singlish is simply unmistakable. 😛 We then headed out to catch some of the amazing views at Cape Hedo…
There are many picturesque and instagrammable spots at Cape Hedo. Whether its the sea views, the majestic cliffs or the clear blue skies and waters, you’ll be able to capture many memorable moments here. Here’s a video of Cape Hedo where we unknowingly caught a young chap climbing back from the edge of the cliff at the end of this clip…
Apparently many thrill seekers we head right to the edge of these cliffs, sit there and have a friend take a shot of them. But since its right at the edge, not supported, there could be a real possibility that it might break off. So balance the risks before attempting such shots!
T&C Touraku Cafe at Kouri Island Okinawa
Before heading to our next accommodation at Westeria Condominium Resort, Kate decided that we should make one last stop at one of the islands – Kouri Island. Here, we found T&C Touraku Cafe right by the sea and it was here that we stopped over for afternoon tea…
This time, we had the Mille Crepe Cake set with Coffee (850 yen) as well as the Zenzai shaved ice (650 yen). Check them out in our video below…

Westeria Condominium Resort Okinawa and Dinner at 海邦丸海人料理 Okinawa Restaurant
Leaving Kouri Island, we arrived at our accommodation at Westeria Condominium Resort Okinawa at about 3:30pm – our last stop for the day. We chose Westeria Condominium because of its location, within walking distance to attractions such as Tropical Dream Center, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium and Emerald Beach. Also because of these views…
Rooms here are sea facing and offer views of Tropical Dream Center. Each day, you’ll also be able to see sunsets right from your room…
The room was also clean, spacious with a separate “wet” area in the bathroom for those warm bathtub soaks 😛
For dinner, we headed to 海邦丸海人料理 Okinawa Restaurant located at Hanasaki Marche Okinawa. Queues here are known to be long due to the popular seafood options here. Sure enough, we had to wait about 30 minutes before we were shown to our seats, next to the cashier…
We ordered several dishes this evening at 海邦丸海人料理 Restaurant. This included the sea grapes and seafood rice bowl (1480 yen), pig’s trotters (700 yen), thick fried tofu (480 yen), bitter melon stir fry with tofu and egg (700 yen) as well as a Shekwasha sour drink (430 yen). The total came up to 4334 yen…
The meal was thoroughly satisfying. We got to try out the succulent textures of the sea grapes once again and feast (both our eyes and tummies) on the fresh slices of fish at the restaurant. The Shekwasha sour also increased our appetite and we managed to finish everything above! After the meal, we also got to walk around and visit the shops at Hanasaki Marche Okinawa. A little shopping never does any harm right? 😛
Soon it was time to retire back to our resort by taking a short leisurely walk back…
