Sushiro Food and Drinks Menu
During this visit, we managed to take a couple of shots of the menu of all the offerings at Sushiro. You’ll be able to see that the menu is pretty affordable with sushi starting at $2.30 for red plates all the way to $4.90 for black plates. Here’s an idea of what you’ll get with each category of plates:
Red Plates ($2.30) – Tuna, Salmon, Salmon Belly, Inari, Scallop, Shrimp, Mackerel and Japanese Egg
Silver Plates ($2.90) – Albacore Tuna, Grilled Eel, Galbi Beef, Pork Belly, Thick cut fresh salmon
Gold Plates ($3.90) – Jumbo Scallop, Young Yellowtail, Premium Roast Beef, Premium Grilled Eel
Black Plates ($4.90) – Bluefin Fatty Tuna, Red Snapper, Salmon Roll, Grilled Eel Roll
What we had at Sushiro
This time, we ordered…
As always, we were satisfied with the quality and affordability that Sushiro offers. This time, we enjoyed the chicken karaage which was crispy on the outside and so flavourful and juicy upon each bite. This time, we also tried the fatty tuna which was so so good. A thicker cut with natural fatty goodness exuberating. Yum!
But enough of the good stuff that we all know that is representative of Sushiro…as this post is really about the peculiarities of the free-flow drinks bar at Sushiro…

Sushiro Free-Flow Drinks Bar
First off, just like Saizeriya, the free flow drinks bar at Sushiro allows customers to enjoy both the hot and cold drinks selection. For $3++, you can enjoy cold drinks selection such as Coca-Cola, Minute Maid and Heaven & Earth teas as well as hot drinks such as hot green tea, hot chocolate, latte/cappuccino, mocha and hot teas.
If you prefer to have just the hot green tea, you can also choose to have it at $1.50++, refillable. However, this is where the similarities end.
At Sushiro, we found that
1. You can only have 1 cup on your table at any point in time. This means that after you’ve ordered the drinks bar menu, you have to await the service staff to pass you an empty cup before you can head over to the drinks bar.
2. Hot drinks cup vs Cold drinks cup. If you’re done with the cold drinks and would like to have hot drinks, you have to ask the service staff to pass you a different cup to get the hot drinks. At the same time, the hot drinks cup that you’ve used previously, will be cleared from your table.
What these all means is that you can only drink 1 type of drink at any point in time and cannot have more than 1 cup per person on your table. As we were unaware of this rule, we asked for a second cup when we wanted to switch from the cold drink to a hot drink. This triggered all sorts of alarm as several staff saw more than 1 cup per person on the table (see rule 1 above) and approached us. As soon as we were done with the cold drinks, a staff came to remove the cold drinks cup and restored normality to the situation.
This was pretty strange to us.
For drinks bar, Saizeriya does it well. All the cups are at the drinks bar and customers can really self-serve as they wish. This also reduces a toll on the service staff – something that Sushiro’s management should consider…

All in all, we had a great time at Sushiro once again. Affordable premium sushi, now accompanied by a free-flow drinks bar to complete the dining experience. Hopefully, the “cup situation” would be resolved by our next visit. Else, we would definitely be careful not to trigger the “cup cops” during our next visit 😅
