7 Bridges Brewing Company was yet another brewery that we visited during our walk around Ho Tay Lake in Hanoi. Being one of the local breweries in Vietnam, 7 Bridges is not only well known in the local craft beer scene, it also serves up some fantastic IPAs…
About 7 Bridges Brewing Company Hanoi
7 Bridges Brewing Company actually started in Danang, Vietnam. A great city to visit if you’re in central Vietnam. Launched in April 2017, 7 Bridges Brewery has gone on to win gold medals in just 2 years, brewing pub favourites like ales, pale ales, IPAs, stouts and hefeweizen. This is also why there are so many offerings on its menu.
We also enjoyed the vibes of the pub. There are outdoor seatings as well as indoor ones, which faces a small lake on the other side (Lake Ho Tu Lien)…

7 Bridges Brewing Company Hanoi – Craft Beers Menu

– Standard (400 ml – 80k VND)

Flight of 4 Beers: 200k VND
Flight of 7 Beers: 350k VND
Specialty Beers includes:
1. Imperial IPA – Double IPA, 9% ABV, 50 IBU
“Our flagship. Floral, full bodied and deceptively smooth. Extra strong, perfectly balanced, and made with all natural ingredients.”
2. Dragon IPA – Session IPA. 4.8% ABV, 32 IBU
“Inspired by Da Nang’s fire breathing Dragon Bridge, this session style IPA is bursting with three fragrant hops and three rich malts.”
For those who are not familiar, sessions is an IPA but with lower alcoholic content.
3. Fire Eater – Cacao Chili Stout. 7.3% ABV, 24 IBU
“Cacao nibs soaked in bourbon with fresh chilies and cinnamon gives this deep stout a hint of chocolate and a pleasant warmth on the throat with only a hint of spice.”
4. Independence – American Pale Ale. 5.4% ABV, 40 IBU
“A classic pale ale, bursting with Cascade hops in a nod to the style that started the American craft revolution.”
5. Hai Van Haze – Hazy IPA. 6% ABV, 35 IBU
“This juicy, hazy NEIPA was brewed with wheat and oats. Showcasing a mountains worth of Citra hops.”
Hazy IPAs have an added fermentation process on top of the regular IPA that produces a cloudy beer, imparting stronger flavours and aroma.
6. Victorious Bastard – Laurel Pale Ale. 6% ABV, 18 IBU
“This is the beer Caesar would have drunk. Rock solid ale with a dank, resinous and dry finish.”
7. Audacious Bastard – Laurel Double IPA. 8.6% ABV, 45 IBU
“What’s more audacious than taking an army of elephants over the mountains? For Hannibal, we brew a bold, laurel DIPA balancing floral and herbal notes.”
Regular Beers includes:
1. Sunset Tangerine – Wheat Beer. 4.2% ABV, 16 IBU
“Infused with whole Vietnamese oranges and fermented with classic Munich yeast. Light, refreshing with a hint of orange and bitterness from orange peel.”
2. Beach Blonde Ale – Blonde Ale. 5% ABV, 18 IBU
“Made for the heat and humidity of Central Vietnam. Silky and smooth with honey notes on the palate.”
3. Yuzu – Wheat Beer. 4.2% ABV, 11 IBU
“Yuzu is the quintessential Japanese citrus. Combined with a traditional Belgian white wheat beer, it makes it refreshing and easy to drink beer like no other.”
4. Bavarian Madness – Munich Hefeweizen. 5.7% ABV, 12 IBU
“Brewed true to form in very small batches. Smooth body with an opening of banana and closing with clove notes.”
Just by writing the description above, I’ve learnt about the different pale ales, IPAs (i.e. did you know that Imperial IPA is also a Double IPA – stronger and more flavourful than a regular IPA?) and craft beers. There are also seasonal beers and guest beers, ciders to choose from.
7 Bridges Brewing Company Hanoi – Food Menu
There are also alot of food variety to choose from. Pizzas, deep dish pizzas (reminds of Chicago) as well as snacks such as truffle fries, onion rings and calamari.

What We Had at 7 Bridges Brewing Company Hanoi
Eventually, we chose the Hai Van Haze (Hazy IPA) and the Sunset Tangerine (Wheat Beer)…
As we have already had Turtle Lake Brewing Company prior to this visit, we decided to go slow and try out the other craft beers. As we have had already tried the top 7 Bridges IPAs (Imperial IPA and Sessions IPA) from Standing Bar previously, we decided to try out the Hazy IPA and Wheat Beers at 7 Bridges Brewery. We enjoyed both beers as the Hai Van Haze had a nice hoppy taste while the Sunset Tangerine had wisps of light tangerine – reminded us of 1664 Blanc towards the end. Best of all, they gave us complimentary popcorns! All brewery should provide complimentary snacks with beers 😂
