Over the National Day holidays, Tim Ho Wan had the NDP Dim Sum Fun Pack for 2 pax for $58++ ($69.40) that included the following items
1. Cold Barley with Wintermelon
2. Homemade Iced Lemon Tea
4. Steamed Sponge Cake (香滑马来糕)
5. Pork Ribs with Black Bean
6. Spinach Dumplings with Shrimp
7. Pork & Shrimp Dumplings (鲜虾烧卖皇)
8. Shrimp Dumplings (晶莹鲜虾饺)
9. Pork Congee with Century & Salted Eggs
10. Chicken, Cordyceps Flower & Mushroom with Rice
11. Hong Kong Style Wonton Noodle Soup (港式云吞汤面)
Although the name says “NDP Dim Sum Fun Pack for 2 Pax”, it really is a meal for at least 3 people. There are 3 mains (a rice dish, a congee and a noodles) as well as 6 more steamed dishes. Definitely not meant for only 2 pax in our opinion. But how does it taste though?

The great thing about dining at Tim Ho Wan is that you’d always be able to anticipate great quality Hong Kong cuisine right here in Singapore. Although we had our very first Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong and thoroughly enjoyed our time (and the lower prices) there, we were actually able to reminisce the tastes that we had at Tim Ho Wan HK while dining at Tim Ho Wan Plaza Singapura – well, maybe except the Steamed Sponge Cake (香滑马来糕), which was incredible in HK.
The only thing that piqued our interest was whether the fried version of the Golden Lava Salted Egg Buns (黄金流沙包) tastes just as good, if not better? If you have tried it at Tim Ho Wan, do let us know what you think in the comments section below!
