This gave an overall feel of coziness. It is as though you’re inside a wooden cabin with a hygge (“hooga”) feel. After we chose a seat, we looked around and saw that there were some tables with red wines. Hence, while checking out the food offerings, we also kept an eye out for the wines as well…

We must say that the food selection is pretty good at Sky Suite Airport Lounge. The buffet lines itself may not seem much but they also use the M-frame shelves next to the buffet line to put up snacks, salads, fruits and desserts. Overall, we’re quite happy with the food selection offered here at Sky Suite Airport Lounge.

On the side of the A-Frame setting, there is a drink station that offers soft drinks, coffee & tea. As we’re still on the “hunt” for the alcoholic drinks, we were actually unable to find where the guests had gotten the red wines from. However, at this point, we spotted some red wine glasses beneath the drink station and decided to take a couple of glasses and bring it over to the buffet line where the food is served from. Turns out that you’d have to first take a glass and bring it over to the food section for one of the staff to pour you a glass from the other side of the kitchen. This, we noticed, is a trend among airport lounges at KLIA – that the alcoholic selection are either discretely concealed (such as at Travel Club Lounge) or that they have to be served by a bartender if a bar is available.

The lounge also offers shower facilities that are offered together as part of the common toilet facilities. Nonetheless, we found that the toilets were rather dry and well-kept during our visit…

Lastly, we also discovered a space past the kitchen with views of the runways. This was also where we headed to sip on our wines before we conclude this visit to Sky Suite Airport Lounge at KLIA Terminal 1…
