Brewerkz is one of the pioneers of craft beers in Singapore. Still recall the first time we indulged in their award-winning India Pale Ale (IPA) and fell in love with its floral and malty flavours. Many years on (we shall not dwell into the details of how many), our dating venue at Brewerkz Riverside Point, still welcomes guests from around the world to enjoy their refreshing and innovative craft beers. We’ve not visited the Riverside Point Brewerkz outlet for a while now and decided to write a quick post of this visit…
About Brewerkz Riverside Point
Brewerkz Riverside Point is located centrally at Clarke Quay – known for its restaurants, bars and clubs along the Singapore River waterfront. It is located close to the ever-popular Jumbo Seafood Restaurant, famed for its Chilli Crab and was last revamped in 2019.
Besides being centrally located, Brewerkz Clarke Quay has quite alot al fresco seats, perfect for people watching – especially the facial expressions of tourists enjoying the leisurely Singapore River Cruise ride for the very first time. This is also where we’d choose to sit anytime after 6:30pm, when the air starts to cool down in the evenings.
As we visited right in the heat of the mid-day sun this afternoon, we chose to cool down indoors where the A/C is working extra hard to keep the premise cool – especially since a large segment of the bar area leads to the al fresco area directly.
Brewerkz Riverside Point Clarke Quay Food and Craft Beer Menu
After browsing through the menu, we decided that we should give the other beers a try, instead of trying out our usual favourites of IPA and DIPA (Double IPA – which is EXCELLENT as well). Hence, we decided to go with
1. Lychee Amber Lager – $47 for a Tier 2 Jug of Craft Beer
2. Chargrilled Sakura Pork Rack – $28
– Apple bacon sauce, five onion chutney, pork lard, roasted potatoes
We enjoyed the Lychee Amber Lager ($47) which had the fruity lychee flavours embedded within a light bitter lager. Really refreshing and tasty with a slight sweetness to it. If you love fruity beers, you’ll enjoy the Lychee Amber Lager at Brewerkz.
We were also glad that we ordered the Chargrilled Sakura Pork Rack ($28) to go along with the beers. The Sakura Pork Rack was served bone-in with the fatty parts at the top – just the way we like it. The meat was chargrilled to the correct temperatures, leaving a mild smokiness while leaving the meat still slight firm on each bite. Excellent bar food to go along with our beers this afternoon.

Overall, we’ve always enjoyed visiting Brewerkz. No matter which outlet we’re at, the atmosphere is relaxed and the friendly staff is always on hand to make you feel right at home. For the Brewerkz branch at Riverside Point, there’s always this sense of nostalgia for us because we were probably introduced to the world of craft beers right here and the many dates that ensued brought back memories as well. With the revamped premise, the space has brightened up and feels modern, indicating that it has to catch up with the times to meet the expectations of a younger and more decerning clientele. Nonetheless, the tastes of premium craft beers still remains and it is these tastes that can still bring us way back.
Kudos to Brewerkz and all the staff for delivering of great tasting craft beers through the years! 👏 👏 👏
