Tom Riyaz Lavanya Langkawi is a prominent building as you stroll along the Cenang Beach in Langkawi. As we strolled, we noticed a roof top bar of sorts on top and after some Googling, we found that it belonged to SAIL, the rooftop bar & lounge of Riyaz Langkawi. We actually visited SAIL twice. The first time for some drinks to check out the premise and on our first visit, we found that they offer the Surf & Turf BBQ Buffet on the weekends from 7pm to 10pm at 98RM. Hence, we decided to check it out this weekend!
About SAIL Rooftop Bar at Riyaz Langkawi
During our first visit to SAIL Rooftop Bar at Riyaz Langkawi, we bought a Guinness draft Beer (15 RM) and the Angel Cocktail (29 RM) while chilling out with the views that it offers. There is also a swimming pool here but it does not have direct sea views. Nonetheless, if you sit by one of the lounge chairs facing the sea, you’ll be able to enjoy these views…
After visiting SAIL Rooftop Bar & Lounge at Riyaz Langkawi, we found that it probably offers one of the best views along Cenang Beach. This is because it is a relatively high building and located right at the beach front. Hence, it offers unblocked views of the entire bay to the north and the south. If you’re seated on the other side of the swimming pool, you’ll be able to enjoy mountain views as well.
SAIL Rooftop Bar Riyaz Langkawi Surf & Turf Weekend BBQ Buffet
The Surf & Turf Weekend BBQ Buffet at SAIL Rooftop Bar (Riyaz Lavanya Langkawi) starts at 7pm. At approximately 6:55pm, approached the bar counter, paid our 98RM per person (~$30 SGD) and we got a coloured wristband placed on our hands. Probably to differentiate diners from the other guests at the pool. We then took the liberty to check out the offerings at SAIL Rooftop Bar’s Surf & Turf BBQ Weekend Buffet…
Although the spread isn’t really extensive, we must say that we actually enjoyed the grilled items (perhaps less the steak which was a little tough). The grill station is located right next to the bar and the food items are all prepared ala minute. Our favourite was probably the Tiger Prawns. Yes! The buffet started with grilled Tiger Prawns! We were actually quite surprised but of course, after a couple of rounds, it became normal prawns which were still very very good. In fact, we had quite a few rounds of prawns which were fresh, sweet and succulent. Yum!
Of course, one of our favourite part of the Surf & Turf Weekend BBQ Buffet at Riyaz Langkawi SAIL Rooftop Bar has got to be the sunset views. While dining on the seafood grills, you’ll also be treated by the beautiful sunset over the horizon…
As guests at SAIL Rooftop Bar, if you’re in the right attire (i.e. berms and swimming attire), you can also consider having a dip by the pool or the jacuzzi pool. After our meal, we headed to the jacuzzi pool and after sunset, we were able to see many restaurants and hotels along the beach that had fire twirlers performance – just like at our hotel at Dash Resort Langkawi.

After our visit to the SAIL Rooftop Bar at Riyaz Langkawi, we are convinced that it does offer one of the best views along Cenang Beach Langkawi. With the Surf & Turf Weekend BBQ Buffet, we were treated to some great grilled items, including a meal that started with lobsters (maybe from another meal elsewhere?) and went on with tiger prawns which were sweet, succulent and fresh! Of course, the views, especially at sunset were amazing as well. Hence, if you’re looking for a place to chill at Langkawi, we’d recommend Riyaz Lavanya Langkawi SAIL Rooftop Bar & Lounge for great views, cocktails and BBQ grills!
