Air China Business Class Lounge

Remember the boarding passes that were printed in Singapore for our second flight (from Beijing to Busan)? It actually helped us to save time after we landed in Beijing. Upon arrival, we were greeted by ground staff holding a card bearing our names and we were led through the customs. This was a very nice gesture from Singapore Airlines as we would have taken a much longer time to navigate through the various gates to get through customs. When we landed, it was already 7:10am and the boarding time was at 7:55am. The saving grace was that we already had our boarding passes in hand, this saved us some time while navigating through the customs which included full body pat down! (I know right!!!). Still, we had some time to visit the Air China Business Class Lounge in Beijing…

Before we entered the lounge, we also took some photos within Beijing Capital International Airport.

You’ll be able to visit the Air China Business Class Lounge if you are flying business class on Singapore Airlines or Air China. Star Alliance Gold members also have access. On this particular trip, we arrived on Singapore Airlines Business Class and departed on Air China Business Class. For the full list of Singapore Airlines partner lounges worldwide, click here. Since the lounge was near the boarding gate and we still had 15 minutes to go, we decided to check out Air China Business Class Lounge in Beijing!

Though we were only inside the Air China Business Lounge for only 10 minutes, we felt that it was really spacious and had a good variety of food and drinks. Before long, we had to depart and head to our boarding gate…

Air China Business Class Beijing to Busan Flight Review

As the flight from Beijing to Busan was only 2 hours, the aircraft was a smaller Boeing 737-800 which had a 2-2 configuration for the business class. As there were only 2 rows of business class seats, there were only 8 business class seats in total on the flight from Beijing to Busan.

After we were seated, we were served welcome drinks and our orders for the onboard meal were taken. The meal included Chinese (white porridge with choice of xiao long bao & dumplings) or Western (egg roll).

Although the quality and taste of the food was nothing compared to Singapore Airlines (we didn’t finish any of the dumplings), the quality of service was pretty good. The air stewardesses were attentive to our preferences and even took note whether to wake us up for meals if we dozed off after the flight – to which we said, “please wake us up!!!” And as expected, we did fall asleep and they did gently nudge us up for the meals. πŸ˜›
