First and foremost, if you take a closer look at the expenditure at Restoran Nancy’s Kitchen, the total cost for such a spread came up to only 66.55RM. That equates to about $25SGD only!
Of course, Restoran Nancy’s Kitchen scored high in the “authentic nonya taste” department. But if we had to choose, the popiah and otah would be our top picks! Kate enjoyed the popiah because of its unique combination of tastes and textures. Hints of chili and sweet sauce were topped off with a special ingredient – crunchy bits of pork lard that add that extra oomph to an already tasty local delight.
As for the otah, not only can you taste the freshly grounded spices, the chunky fish pieces within were sweet and fresh!
