During our staycation at Singapore Marriot Tang Plaza Hotel, we were given a complimentary $100 dining voucher. With it, we visited Crossroads, not once but twice!
About Crossroads @ Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel
Crossroads is a restaurant located at the entrance of Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel. If you’ve visited Tangs (the shopping mall), you’d probably passed by this open-air restaurant many times before. We too, have passed by but have not dined there before. Due to its strategic location at the heart of Orchard Road, it is not only a great place to catch up with friends but also a perfect spot to see and be seen!
Crossroads is known for its upscale local foods as well as a good mix of western selection. Signature food at Crossroads include Char Hor Fun ($26) , Crossroads All-Day Breakfast Platter ($27) and the 100% Wagyu Beef Burge ($36). Local favourites include Mee Goreng ($24), Char Kway Teow ($26), Hokkien Mee ($26) and Hainanese Chicken Rice ($26). Yup, the prices are rather steep for food but drinks, you’d be able to enjoy happy hours from 11am to 8pm, Mondays to Fridays!
What we had at Crossroads Happy Hour
During Happy Hours at Crossroads, drinks such as sangria, white/red house wines, house spirits or beers go for $10++ each. Not too bad for a restaurant at such a great location. This time, we ordered the beef tacos, a sangria as well as a pint of Erdinger…
Although the price was rather steep ($30), the tacos was probably one of the best we’ve had. Of course, in terms of CP value for tacos, Tacos El Gordo at San Diego wins hands down. Nonetheless, we love the flavours, fattiness and slight smokiness of the beef. Yummy!
In the evening, we returned for another chill out time before our movies. We were watching the movie Tenet – which is known to be a rather confusing movie. Hence, we had our fill of truffle fries and cocktails (lychee martini and mojito)…
For both the cocktails, the bartender had a rather heavy pour. Which…was good for us…to doze off if the movie turned out to be a real bore. Delicious drinks! Kudos to the team at Crossroads. Again, at $10++, it was a steal. The parmesan truffle fries ($18) was a huge portion. The truffle taste permeated through each bite of the shoestring fries.

Conclusion
The food prices at Crossroads are rather steep. Whether it is local food or western, they are all priced above $20++ per dish. Nonetheless, the happy hour prices at Crossroads from Mondays to Fridays (11am to 8pm) are worth considering as it is a great venue to hang out, catch up, to see and be seen!
