On day 5 of our travels in Da Nang, we changed hotel from Happy Day Hotel to Seashore Hotel Da Nang. This change was to enable us to have easier access to venues in the next 2 days. Where? Stay tuned to find out…
But first, we took a Grab ride from Happy Day Hotel to Seashore Hotel which was about 87K VND (5.30). As we arrived at 9am, it was still a little early for check-in. Hence, we decided to check out the premise and chill at the rooftop pool…
Seashore Hotel Apartment Da Nang Review
The rooftop pool of Seashore Hotel Apartment Da Nang, allows visitors to expansive views of the sea, beach front as well as Da Nang city itself. There’s also a rooftop bar where you can order drinks while you chill by the pool. The water of the pool was a little cold but was much better in the afternoon where the afternoon sun heated up the pool. After the refreshing swim, we left our luggage with the hotel and strolled along the beach towards My Khe beach. Turns out, the beach in front of Seashore Hotel Apartment Da Nang also has a name – Man Thai Beach…
Temple Da Nang Resort Review
The walk from Man Thai beach to My Khe beach was about 30 minutes. Walking along the beach and stepping onto the oncoming waves was rather relaxing as well. As it was the first day of the Lunar New Year, there weren’t many places that were open. The area that attracted us was Temple Da Nang because it was bustling with visitors and there was a resort feel to it. Hence, we entered for lunch.
Due to the LNY, there was a 20% surcharge. Our pizza and draft beer came up to 322k VND (20 SGD). During our stay, we saw bus loads of Korean tourists visiting the area as well as foreign visitors (like ourselves) stepping in to dine. The resort itself had a pool next to the beach, rooms to stay as well as deck chairs by the beach.
Seashore Hotel Apartment Da Nang Room Review
After lunch, we walked back to our hotel and checked out our room at Seashore Hotel Apartment Da Nang. The room was very clean and spacious. We were impressed by the layout and modern amenities within – including cable TV and rain shower. The highlight? Views of Man Thai Beach, all the way to My Khe beach as well as Da Nang City itself. We enjoyed beautiful, unblocked views out to sea daily. Check out this video to have an idea of the room we stayed in at Seashore Hotel Da Nang…
For the rest of the afternoon, we rested and watched the movie White Chicks. Our favourite scene from the movie was when Terry Crews sang “A Thousand Miles”…
At sunset, we headed up to the rooftop again for the Seashore Cocktail (80K VND – $5SGD) and Saigon Beer (25K VND – $1.5SGD). Reasonably priced for a rooftop bar.
As night fell, we took a nap at our balcony where it was rather windy and comfortable. We ended the evening, watching the premiere of Aladdin on Fox Movies. “A whole new world…”
