Tom Hai Di Lao is a well-known hotpot chain in Singapore, famed for its focus on service and dining experience for its patrons. Because of the excellent customer service that it provides, the prices at Hai Di Lao are usually more expensive. However, with the ongoing Hai Di Lao Buffet option*, it is definitely a good time to indulge in good hotpot soup, fresh ingredients at comparatively affordable prices.
*Note that the Hai Di Lao Buffet is only available during certain times of the day and at certain outlets only. In addition, they are only available for a short period of time. Hence, do check in with their official web or social media outlets for the latest on this promotion.
What is included in the Hai Di Lao Buffet
The current Hai Di Lao buffet is known as the Duo Delight Deal which costs $69.90++ or $84 for 2 pax. This translates to $42 for a buffet at HaiDiLao. Not cheap but comparatively affordable. However, here are the terms and conditions (at time of writing):
1. Valid on weekdays (Mondays to Fridays) 11:30am to 6pm
2. Applicable only for dine-in, with a maximum duration of 2 hours, last order time at 4:30pm
3. Promotional price excludes condiment bar charges, GST and service charges
4. Children over 6 years old are subjected to an additional charge of $10SGD. Infants can enjoy the set meal for free.
5. The promotion cannot be combined with any other ongoing discounts at Haidilao
6. If there is any wastage, an additional charge of $10 will be charged for every 100grams of leftover ingredients
7. Singapore Hai Di Lao Dining Pte Ltd reserves the right to interpret and amend the terms and conditions in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations in Singapore
We also found out that because it is a buffet, you will not be able to takeaway the soup (to be cooked with noodles for those late night supper pangs), unlike when you dine in regularly.

There are quite alot of selection from the Hai Di Lao buffet and our favourites are highlighted above. This time, we tried out the HaiDiLao Buffet at Northshore Plaza. However, do note that the offers are seasonal and rotates among the outlets. Hence, do double confirm before your next visit.
What We Had at HaiDiLao Hot Pot Buffet
We must say that the Haidilao Hot Pot Buffet was actually very satisfying. Not only were we able to select from the premium soup base available (Tomato and Three Delicacies!), we were also able to have free flow meats and prawn paste. Particularly enjoyed the beef slices which were tasty and sweetened up the soup as well as the fish slices which would probably amount to >$20 on its own. Definitely worth the visit to HaiDiLao Hot Pot when the buffet option is available.
