On our last 2 days in Yogyakarta, we decided to treat ourselves to a well-deserved break at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta! In this review of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta, you’ll find out everything you need to know about the facilities, breakfast and the illusive Regency Club Lounge! We tried to find out more information about the Regency Club Lounge of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta online but was unable to do so. Be sure that we’ll cover these and more in this post!
Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta Facilities
As we booked a Club King room at the hotel, we were whisked away to the Regency Club Lounge for our check in…
As we were early, we brought our welcome drink to the pool area and hung out until our room was ready at 3pm. In the meantime, we checked out all the facilities of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta…
As you can see from the activities banner above, a stay at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta allows you to enjoy activities such as
– Andong Village Tour
– Rice Field Bike Tour
– Pond Fishing
– Pillow Fighting (by the swimming pool)
– Table Tennis (also at the pool area)
– Fitness/Gym
– Jogging (around the paved areas of the hotel’s compound – which is HUGE!)
– Putting Golf (Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta is located next to a golf course!)
– Swimming
– Futsal
– Tennis
– Spa & Massage
– Camp Hyatt / Kids Glamping (Programmes for the kids)
We started out our exploration of Hyatt Yogyakarta from the lobby area. Right off the bat, once you alight from your transfer to the hotel, you’ll be greeted with this amazing view from a platform overlooking the greenery and golf course at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta.
Passing the reception, we passed by a stretch of corridor lined with art from local artistes…
Walking down the flight of stairs towards the Bistro/Restaurant of Hyatt Yogyakarta, we reached the pool area…
On Sundays, because of the Sunday Brunch available at Kemangi Bistro, we also saw throngs of tourists enjoying the food and chilling by the pool area. Next, we checked out all the swimming pools at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta. IT WAS HUGE!
At the swimming pool area, you can choose to play table tennis, take a ride on the water slide, chill out by one of the deck chairs or even start a pillow fight…
Also around the pool area, you’ll find the gym, jogging paths and even a small bird sanctuary…
Further towards the golf course, there are other facilities such as a futsal court, a tennis court and also a putting area for guests at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta…
If you’re interested in hitting the green at Hyatt Yogyakarta, here is the price list for golf-related activities
While the husbands play a round of golf, the wives can head to the spa next door and this is the price list for the spa packages at Hyatt Yogyakarta…
Club King Room Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta
The Club King Room of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta had all the frills that we were expecting. TV channels that allowed Kate to channel surf. A bath tub and a comfortable bed. The room also over looks the lush greenery of Hyatt Yogyakarta…
Cocktail Hours at Regency Club Lounge of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta
If you’re staying at the Club Rooms of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta, you’ll be able to enjoy snacks throughout the opening hours of the lounge…
Of course, one of the highlights of staying at a Club Room of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta, is that you’ll be able to enjoy cocktail hours (happy hour) from 5:30pm to 7:30pm!
Drinks are served by the servers at the Regency Club Lounge. The cool thing is that you can order more than 1 drink at a go. After scanning through the drinks list, we ordered…
Although the spread was probably not one of the best we’ve seen for cocktail hours at lounges (the best so far is probably the cocktail hours at Pan Pacific Singapore). However, the choice of drinks (mocktails, cocktails, beers, wines, rose) were extensive. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the cocktail hours at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta Club Lounge.
To end off the evening, we had a head toe massage (Kate) and Javanese Massage (Tom) that came up to 820K IDR in total. Not too bad for massage at a luxury hotel. Plus, we slept like a baby…Zzzzz
Breakfast @ Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta
Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta serves up an extensive breakfast both indoors and outdoors by the pool…
All in all, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta. What we enjoyed about Hyatt Yogyakarta?
– Chilling by the pool and basking in the sun
– Walk around the extensive premise of Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta with each other
– Cocktail Hours where we overheard retirement conversations of travelling to various parts of Southeast Asia
– Massage where we slept like babies…Zzz….
– Superb service everywhere we went in Hyatt Yogyakarta
Sadly…we had to leave the paradise that is Yogyakarta. During the flight back, we were able to see the top of Mount Merapi up close!

We are looking to stay here soon. Was breakfast included in the club room price?
Hey Katie,
Thanks for dropping in. Yes, breakfast was included. If you go with the Club Room, you’ll have the choice to either have breakfast at the Regency Club lounge or like us, head over to the resident restaurant (Kemangi Bistro) where the breakfast is more extensive. During our travels, we noticed that Club Rooms in Asia, generally includes breakfast – though some limits your breakfast to only the Club Lounge, probably for crowd control at the main restaurant and better dining experience for those with lounge access.
Have a great stay and enjoy some of the delicious cocktails and wines during cocktail hours!
