Since April 2017, Jeju Shinhwa World (제주신화월드 / 濟州神話世界) has been opening its resorts and facilities in phases. Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Resort, Jeju Shinhwa World Marriott Resort, Shinhwa Theme Park, Shinhwa Shoppes were opened only recently in late 2017. With the opening of Shinhwa Waterpark in the summer of 2018 as well as Lionsgate Movie World in 2020, Jeju Shinhwa World is set to become the next top attraction and lifestyle destination in Jeju! Thanks to the great folks of Jeju Shinhwa World (JSW), we got the opportunity to stay at the Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Resort! In this review, we’ll show you all our accommodation, the facilities as well as attractions of Jeju Shinhwa World (JSW) during our stay at the Landing Resort (濟州神話世界度假酒店-藍鼎)!

Landing Resort Jeju Shinhwa World Superior Twin Room Review
During our travels in Jeju, we rented a car from AJ Rent-a-Car, a partner of Avis Car Rental. After getting our rental car from Jeju International Airport, we keyed in “Jeju Shinhwa World” into Waze on our phone and we were on our way! You’ll be happy to note that parking at JSW Landing Resort is complimentary. We parked at the open air parking near the hotel, with the lobby just a short walk away. The very first thing we noted was the level of service that the hotel offers. As we approached the entrance, we were greeted by the staff with a bow and a warm welcome, before he approached and helped us with our luggage. The sunroof allowed natural light to fill the spacious lobby. A great feel for a lobby entrance…
After the prompt check-in, we were shown to the lift lobby before we headed to our Superior Twin Room! We were greeted by a basket of fruits topped with a card, personally signed by the hotel’s manager. A nice personal touch.
Kate was also very interested in the Jayjun x Jeju Shinhwa World masks that greeted us! For a limited period only, Jayjun Cosmetics jointly produced this set of facial treatment for hotel guests to enjoy. They include the Real Water Brightening Black Mask as well as the Baby Pure Shining Mask that we enjoyed in the evening before we turned in…
Thann bathroom amenities were provided by JSW! Whenever we stay at a hotel and encounter Thann, we know that the hotel strives to impress its guests. Other interesting updates in the room includes..
A digital safe that opens upwards instead of the traditional sideways. This allows the safe to be neatly stowed away and the door can be held in place as shown.
A digital telephone that allows you to reach room service or lobby via a touch of a screen. Simple!
The highlight of our room at Landing Resort? The views…
In fact, on a clear day, you’ll be able to enjoy sea views! In addition, you can also be able to see Sanbangsan Mountain, a lava dome attraction of Jeju island.
Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Resort Review – Facilities
After settling in, we took the opportunity to check out the facilities of JSW Landing Resort. During this stay, we were also given the opportunity to visit Mosil Club House. Modeled after the famous Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak (성산일출봉/济州岛城山日出峰), Mosil Club House offers facilities such as a 25 metres lap pool (indoor heated), a large children’s pool, an outdoor heated pool, a spa, a fitness center and a sauna!
The pools (both indoors and outdoors) were what we loved best about the Mosil Club House. Indoors, we were able to do leisure swims in the lap pool. With the heated indoor pool, it was nice even when the weather outside dipped to 10 degrees at night. Outdoors, we were able to chill at 38 degrees heated pools. Staring at the stars in a cold weather while keeping warm in the heated pool was simply relaxing…

Jeju Shinhwa World Shinhwa Shoppes
The great thing about staying at Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Resort is that you can do shopping, dining and there’s even a convenience store, all within the area! Here’s a map of Jeju Shinhwa World including Jeju Shinhwa Resort, Landing Resort, Marriott Resort, Shinhwa Shoppes, Mosil Club House and the Landing Convention Centre…
Shopping options include FRANCK MULLER, CU (Convenience Store) and the Jeju Duty Free!
There’s also a play area called Playtime for the kids, casino and the Shinhwa Theme Park – a theme park featuring the animated ‘Larva’ character!
Dining Options at Jeju Shinhwa World
In addition to the shopping options, you’ll pretty much be able to find all cuisines within the premise of Jeju Shinhwa World. Here’s a low down of all the food options here at JSW…
Selec the Table offers some of the most popular joints in South Korea and Jeju, all under one roof! If you have no idea what to eat while in Jeju, you’ll definitely be able to find something to your liking here.
The Place is an Italian bistro within Shinhwa Shoppes that offers over-grilled pizzas, pastas as well as specialties such as Bomb Pizza and Black Mozza Balls!
If you’re looking for American pub grub with delicious craft beers, you can’t go wrong with Devil’s Door!
Outside Crab Tong, you’ll be able to find tanks of fresh seafood such as crabs, lobster and various types of fish. A great place to ensure the freshest catch of Jeju.
For a fresh and healthy smoothie to kick start your day, Smoothie King serves up smoothies from fresh fruits, vegetables and nutritional supplements.
How about home-made pretzels and lemonade at Auntie Anne’s?
We noticed that while many food options close at night, you’ll still be able to get a quick supper at Watta Street Food. The packages offer great value as well. Rice cakes, fried items and korean sausage for 10,000 krw.
Another great venue for a variety of food options is the Asian Food Street. Here, you’ll be able to find cuisine from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and even Singapore!
YG Republique is a space located opposite Shinhwa Theme Park that is conceptualised by YG Entertainment and G Dragon. Here you’ll be able to find more food options such as Untitled 2017, 3 Birds, 3 Butcher’s, Jeju 3Geori, Aori Ramen and Cai Fu Xuan Hot Pot. There’s even a rock-themed bowling club (AC.III.T) in the same precinct!
This time, we visited Untitled, 2017 cafe – designed by G Dragon himself!
We must say that Untitled, 2017 Cafe is definitely a venue to visit while you’re there. The design by G Dragon is just unique in that the spaces are designed just for you to chill out and relax…
This time, we had a cafe latte (6500krw) and Jeju Citrus Cake (7500krw) while chilling at the bean bags section of the cafe. We did that while listening to K-Pop songs playing in the background of the cafe 🙂
To round off the evening, we headed to 3 Butcher’s for Jeju’s famous black pork over BBQ…
Here’s a look at the black pork selection at 3 Butcher’s…

During our visit to 3 Butcher’s at Jeju Shinhwa World, we order the set meal for 2 priced at 60,000krw. As it was in a fancy precinct (G Dragon and all), we thought that the portion of pork would be relatively small. We were so wrong…
The SLAB of pork was HUGE!!! In addition, there was another portion of pork belly. After BBQ (and some nibbling), it came up to a huge portion of pork. As with Korean meals, side dishes (vege, kim chi) and water were included. Definitely, a filling dinner that evening!
Breakfast at Landing Dining Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Resort
Included in our stay at Jeju Shinhwa World Landing Resort is the daily breakfast at Landing Dining – a buffet styled breakfast. We must say that the selection and variety at the breakfast buffet exceeded expectations. We were able to sample Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Western cuisine all at one go.
We even got to try out Abalone Porridge here!
As for desserts, besides gourmet coffee, Kate was able to enjoy her favourite pastries including the cross between Beard Papa and Roti Boy, which we now call “Beard Boy”. “Beard Boy” comes in both coffee and matcha green tea flavours. Tom enjoyed the coffee “Beard Boy” while Kate looooves the matcha green tea version. Tell us your favourite version in our comments section below!
Lastly, we always enjoyed a portion of fruits. Jeju is famous for its oranges. You’ll find an orange stall everywhere you go in Jeju. This probably explains why the oranges at Landing Dining were soooooooo SWEET!
