Tom The inaugural Krisflyer Fest is currently being held at Jewel Changi Airport (L5 Cloud9 Piazza) from 23rd to 24th June 2023. Held from 10:30am to 8:30pm only on Friday and Saturday this weekend, visitors to Krisflyer Fest will be able to enjoy games, activities, F&B as well as chances to win attractive prizes in the Krisflyer Fest Lucky Draw Challenge!
What To Expect At Krisflyer Fest from 23rd to 24th June 2023
EARN 9 MILES PER DOLLAR WITH KRIS+
The Krisflyer Fest is actually an opportunity for SIA to increase the number of downloads and usage of Kris+, its in-house payment app that is giving other payment apps a run for their money. Why? This is because of the attractive miles accrual that the app offers.
During the event, Kris+ app users are able to earn 9 miles per dollar and if you complete the #KrisFlyerFest Challenge on Kris+ app, you’ll be able to receive a $3 rebate and stand a chance to win 250,000 Krisflyer miles during the KrisFlyer Fest Lucky Draw Challenge!
REDEEM A MYSTERY GIFT
Once you enter the KrisFlyer Fest area, you’ll be given a card (also known as the KrisFlyer Fest Passport) where you’ll complete some activities to collect stamps. Once all 4 stamps are collected, you’ll be able to redeem a mystery gift! Don’t worry, most of these activities are free. Where the first activity is actually to collect a free cup of gourmet coffee, tea or hot chocolate and you’ll be able to collect a stamp. Other activities include visiting the Pelago booth and playing games or purchasing some food items. Once the activities and stamps are collected, head over to the gifts booth to spin a wheel and collect your gift. During our visit, we saw that some of the gifts ranged from stickers to tote bags.
SURE-WIN QUIZZES
During the event, you’ll not only be able to meet celebrity hosts such as Sonia Chew, Hazelle Teo, Jean Danker and Joakim Gomez, you’ll get a chance to answer some quizzes Scoot, Pelago, Kris+, Krisflyer and KrisShop to win 10,000 KrisFlyer miles, SIA Poker Set by KrisShop, limited edition Pokemon x Scoot merchandise, KrisPay miles and more!
KRISFLYER FEST LUCKY DRAW CHALLENGE
One of the main highlight for us was the opportunity to win 250,000 KrisFlyer miles by participating in the KrisFlyer Fest Lucky Draw Challenge. The name is a little strange because you technically have to complete a challenge on the Kris+ app before you’ll be able to take part in the lucky draw. The challenge is pretty simple actually. All you have to do is make 2 payments (min. S$10 each) at the event with a Mastercard on the Kris+ App!
Hence, prior to the event, you’ll need to
1. Download Kris+ App
2. Link Google Pay account to Kris+ App
3. Use a Mastercard as payment in Google Pay app
4. Join the challenge on Kris+ App by clicking on “Start Challenge”
5. Remember to do the above 4 steps before you head over to the event to purchase food, drinks and souvenirs through the Kris+ App.
This time, we ordered an Unagi Gimbap ($12) and Singapore Sling Cocktail ($10) and we not only qualified for the draw but also received the $3 rebate into the app as advertised. Remember that you will need to clock a minimum of $10 at 2 different booths. Hence, the food and drinks combination seems to be a good option to qualify for the draw.

During our visit, we also saw games such as throwing of rings on bottles, golf putting as well as activities such as cocktail making class ($15) along with a slew of quizzes and music performance. There was even a tall chap walking on stilts when we were there.
All in all, we thought that the event is a pretty smart move by SIA to increase the usage of Kris+. For us, it is also an opportunity for us to accumulate miles at a faster rate through the Kris+ app – a win-win for all parties!
