Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour Rotorua Review: Friendly Staff and Yummy Ice Cream Awaits!

Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour Rotorua Review

Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour was where we stopped by after a short walk by Lake Rotorua board walk this evening. We had finished a light snack at BREW Craft Beer Pub and the free foot bath at Kuirau Park. We saw that there was a queue to enter Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour and as Singaporeans, queues are always a good sign. Hence, we joined in the queue to see what this fuss was all about…

Long Queue at Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour Rotorua New Zealand Review

The queue at Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour was rather long actually. We were queuing outside the premise and it took us about 10 minutes before even entering the ice cream parlour. It was probably due to the timing as it was after dinner and most people might have been craving for an ice cream as dessert.

Initially, the queue was in a single file but later the staff called everyone to approach the parlour so that people could get in. This meant that the queue was sort of broken up. Thankfully, most people were polite and recognised who were in front of them and we were able to place our orders soon after this little ordeal happened. The staff was also very attentive to every individual order which made it a good experience despite waiting for a while.

This time, we ordered two scoops of ice cream from Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour – Maple Walnut and Rum & Raisin. We chose from the usual flavours and not the premium flavours. Hence, the cost was $5.5 for 2 scoops. If you choose the waffle cone, it would cost you another $2. The ice cream from Lady Janes Ice Cream Parlour was rather delicious. Both flavours had actual ingredients within. For instance, we found chunky walnuts and large raisins in the ice cream that we chose. Good stuff!
