Lim Kee Cafe in Kuala Lumpur’s Chinatown was one of our first stops upon arrival in KL. Located at the first level of Tian Jing (天井) Hotel, Lim Kee Cafe offers a modern take on an old-school coffeeshop setting. Yup, aircon and smells of gourmet coffee included.

This time, we ordered the Flat White (11RM – $3.20SGD), Polo Bun (7RM – $2SGD) and Tiramisu Kahlua (17RM – $5SGD) – all of which were actually superb!

The Flat White was perfectly concocted, nicely roasted beans that granted a depth of aroma upon each taste. Certainly a gourmet coffee. As for the Tiramisu Kahlua, we’re still wondering if actual Kahlua was used since it tasted as such. The layers of the tiramisu was infused with the liquor which complemented the Flat White rather well.

As for the Polo Bun, it was a plain version. So while we did enjoy the outer crusty layer, we thought the clincher was actually the butter that came with it. $2SGD though, was a taaad bit on the high side.
