– Daily breakfast for two
– Complimentary bicycles (4 hours a day)
– Specially curated City Bike-Venture and Garden Bike-Venture routes
– Complimentary healthy snacks to go
– Complimentary bed and breakfast for the third and fourth occupants for applicable room types
– Guaranteed early check-in at 12pm and late check-out at 5pm except for Suites

As we also joined Fans of M.O., we were entitled to $65 dining or spa credit as well as a celebratory treat. Hence, at $500, the Marina Bay View King room was a steal. As it was also the NDP Preview weekend, we were able to catch the NDP rehearsals and fireworks right in the comfort of our room! With F1 coming up at the end of September, the Marina Bay View King room at Mandarin Oriental Singapore would also be one of the best places to catch all the F1 action.

Mandarin Oriental Singapore Marina Bay View King Room Review
Upon arrival at Mandarin Oriental at about 11:30am, we were promptly checked in. Because of the Bikecation deal, our room was ready when we arrived (early check-in at 12pm). We also took the time to check out the lobby during the check-in process…
Although Mandarin Oriental Singapore is a 5-star hotel, the lobby lacked the grandeur of the other hotels in the Marina Bay area such as Pan Pacific as well as Ritz Carlton. Nonetheless, we were in for a treat when we arrived at our Marina Bay View King Room…
Although we have seen the view of Marina Bay several times already, the view from Mandarin Oriental’s Marina Bay View King Room was simply breathtaking. The full length windows allow guests to see the Marina Bay in its entirety – perfect for watching NDP preview and F1 races. We’ll talk a little more about that in just a bit. 😉
Welcoming us were the celebratory treat that we selected and as we were celebrating our anniversary and not our birthday, we were able to get a replacement cake. This explains the chocolate and red velvet cakes as Fans of M.O. welcome treats…
Besides that celebratory treat from Fans of M.O., there were also a couple of pineapple tarts packed in a beautiful tiffany blue package. We then moved on to check out the other parts of the Marina Bay View King room…
At 34sqm, the Marina Bay View King Room was rather spacious and even has a bath tub. The King-sized bed was really comfortable and the selection of cable channels was good – We Bare Bears was available! Of course, the highlight was definitely the view of Marina Bay which we couldn’t get enough of…
After all the “oohs” and “ahhs” of checking out our Marina Bay View King Room of Mandarin Oriental Singapore, it was time to check out the facilities as well!

Mandarin Oriental Singapore Facilities Review
Both the swimming pool and gym are located at level 5 of Mandarin Oriental Singapore. On the way to the swimming pool, we stopped by the gym to check out the gym equipment…
The gym at Mandarin Oriental Singapore was very well-equipped with gym machines, free weights, tread mills, step machines and also a couple of trainers stationed within to give you that sorely-needed gym advice that Tom you need. Right next to the gym is the Mandarin Oriental Swimming Pool…
We really enjoyed the Mandarin Oriental Swimming Pool because of a few reasons. Within the main pool (which is 25m by the way), you’ll be able to do some pool laps and with the fountains lining the sides of the pool, you can allow the water to splash right on your shoulders as a form of massage. There are also seats on the sides (within the pool), if Tom you get tired of swimming. There is also a shallow pool for the kids to enjoy as well.
The other feature that we enjoyed by the main pool is the entire row of shallow waters with an outdoor “bed” of sorts. Being half-dipped in the water, it was quite nice to just sleep on one of these beds without getting too hot under the rays of the sun. Oh, do remember to utilise the sun block and body lotion available by the pool side to get some protection during your swim! Newspapers and magazines are available too!
One common question many will ask is whether you will be able to see the Marina Bay fireworks from Mandarin Oriental swimming pool. The answer is Yes. This is because the swimming pool of Mandarin Oriental is actually an open-air pool that overlooks the Marina Bay. As for the Float @ Marina Bay, you won’t be able to see the proceedings from the swimming pool area as it is slightly lower that the seats at the Float. But this would be a non-issue since it has been announced that National Day Parade (NDP) will be held at the Padang in 2023 as the Float would be reconstructed to become NS Square thereafter.
Before heading out for dinner, we also took some photos within the hotel premise. There are some excellent restaurants in Mandarin Oriental, including Morton’s the Steakhouse, MO Bar as well as Melt Cafe and its famous lobster buffets – be sure to check out what we think about Melt Cafe in our upcoming post as well!

Watching National Day Parade from Mandarin Oriental Singapore Marina Bay View Room
Soon, it was time for us to see the National Day Parade preview right from the comfort of the Marina Bay View Room…
Of the hotels at Marina Bay, we have to say that Mandarin Oriental Singapore definitely has the best views of the Float and the entire Marina Bay. Also, it has Marina Bay Sands and Esplanade in the background, which makes for great photo opportunities. Unfortunately, NDP won’t be held at the Float @ Marina Bay anymore. Great to have caught the last opportunity this year. Thankful that we were also able to snag the room at a really great price as well.

Mandarin Oriental Singapore Buffet Breakfast at Melt Cafe
Before heading for breakfast, we dropped by the swimming pool to enjoy the morning breeze and capture some shots. Though it was still early, there was already a guest doing his morning laps…
Next, it was time to check out the buffet spread for breakfast at Melt Cafe of Mandarin Oriental Singapore!
As you can see, there are so many choices for breakfast at Mandarin Oriental’s Melt Cafe! Whether its Western, Chinese or Indian cuisine, you’ll be able to find something that you’d enjoy. We particularly enjoyed the lollipop fried chicken which was crispy, tender and juicy. The baker’s selection was a bread lined with pecan which was quite enticing. Cheese selection and cold cuts were better than the usual fare that we’ve seen, even compared to European hotels – definitely worth a try. Lastly, the juices are pressed fresh and are not to be missed. The only thing? The juicer was so loud! Thankfully, we were seated quite a distance away. 😂
Mandarin Oriental Singapore Bikecation
After breakfast, we utilised the in-house bicycles to check out the Marina Bay area as well as the F1 pit! Remember to make your bookings at the concierge during check-in…
The bikes from Mandarin Oriental Singapore resembled Brompton Bikes. They were foldable and very stable during the ride. The best part of this adventure was to cycle towards the F1 track and taking some iconic photos there. Cycling on the actual race track itself was quite an experience too! We also met some friends from Denmark and US here as well! Big shoutout! 😄
Returning back to our hotel, we took another dip at the swimming pool. This time, to utilise our $65 dining credit…
At the pool, we ordered the Pizza Margherita ($24). Iced water is complimentary. The staff at the pool will bring you towel and water upon request…
To finish utilising the credit, we returned to our room and had Mandarin Oriental Club Sandwich for $28. While doing so, we had our own wine and enjoyed the views of Marina Bay for the last time…
