Marhaba Lounge Changi T1 Review: Better Than Before
During our visit to Marhaba Lounge in 2019, due to the timing of our visit, we were rather disappointed with the offerings then. However, during our visit this time, we found that the food options and beverage offerings are actually comparable to the standards of SATS Premier Lounge – just that the tastes cater more for guests of Air France since it is the designated lounge for the airline…
As you can see from the offerings above, they seem to be similar to SATS Premier Lounge – especially the selection of beers, which both lounges serve Tiger and Asahi beers. As for the food offerings, the selection was rather decent and the wines selection was good as well. Probably selected to cater for the guests of Air France. Although there were local selection of curry chicken and satay, we actually enjoyed these choices alot more…
Marhaba Lounge Changi T1 Review: What We Enjoyed
The spaghetti bolognese was above expectation. It sauce wasn’t measly and the taste was not too bad either. Moreover, there are selection of cheeses which we added ourselves to enhance the richness of the dish. The other surprising dish was the teriyaki chicken. The rice was the shorter Japanese rice which was fragrant and you could taste the individual grains. Of course, the teriyaki chicken was the star of this dish. Flavourful teriyaki sauce and tender thigh meats, sprinkled with sesame made this an excellent dish. Surprisingly great tasting finds at Marhaba Lounge.
The other thing we enjoyed about dining at Marhaba Lounge is that there were alot more seats for dining as compared to SATS Premier Lounge where most seats had little tables next to it as compared to proper dining seats here. Ambience wise, it was dimmer than SATS. Hence, in a way, it had a better vibe for chilling out.

Following this visit, we found that post-COVID, there are two priority lounges available at Terminal 1 of Singapore Changi Airport – SATS Premier Lounge and Marhaba Lounge. Both have a rather good selection of food and drinks. For local food, head to SATS Premier Lounge but for better international selection and chilling-out vibes, check out Marhaba Lounge instead.
