This time, we decided to try out the Free Flow Friday event at Panorama Riverside Lounge. You may think that free flow alcohol in Singapore will definitely cost a bomb. However, at Panorama, it costs $42++ per pax (inclusive of a buffet dinner). What’s more, if you head over to the Panorama Riverside Lounge website, you’ll be able to get a 10% discount which comes up to about $45 per pax, nett. As expected, Panorama encourages a fun-filled night at its free flow alcohol events but discourages unruly behaviour. In addition, if you were to break a glass or have a vomit incident, you’ll be looking at paying $5 and $20 (per vomit incident) respectively. So enjoy, but watch out for yourself as well!
Once you’ve purchased your tickets, you’ll be given a wristband. This will be your ticket in and out of the event area located on the third floor of the Pasta Fresca Restaurant at Boat Quay…
As Free Flow Fridays includes a buffet as well, we decided to check out the food section first. The cool thing about Free Flow Fridays is that there’s actually a buffet spread of antipasto and pasta in addition to the selection of alcoholic drinks as compared to the other 2 Free Flow Events. Hence, we headed straight to buffet corner to stuff ourselves silly take photos of the spread for our readers before the presentation gets affected…
We must say that for $45 per pax, the selection of antipasto, cheese, pizza and pasta was really good. As expected of an Italian restaurant, the crust of the pizza was thin, crispy and cheesy on the top – good quality and not any old how one. Though the lasagna did not have beef, it was still of a pretty good standard. The other highlight of the buffet was the cheese selection. Perfect for pairings with your wines. We made it a point to try out all the alcohol selection – for our readers of course. =P Our order of the day was Prosecco, White Wine, Red Wine, Sangria and Beer…
The alcohols were flowing freely…that is until we hit the red wine. It was like hitting a wall of sorts. Thereafter, we had to pace ourselves in order not to topple the glass or have a vomit incident. Which by the way, the tables and chairs are particularly unstable…definitely confirm plus chop, a ploy by the management…beware!!! 😛
