Tom Park Royal Orlando was where we stayed during our last night in USA. This was the trip where we did the KLOVE Cruise 2024 for the very first time. To round up the trip, we did some shopping at Orlando International Premium Outlets and stayed at a better hotel, the Park Royal Orlando which was surprisingly affordable at $120SGD for the night…

About Park Royal Orlando
Park Royal Orlando Hotel has recently completed a refresh of its offerings, including renovation of its rooms in phases. One of the reasons why visitors to Orlando would stay at Park Royal Orlando is because of its location – within close proximity to Orlando attractions such as Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World, Animal Kingdom and Epcot.
During our visit, parking was free. Renovation was still in progress so there were still a couple of hiccups. For instance, one of the guests were not able to get their room after an hour of waiting. Loud exchanges ensued. We also found that the ice machine from our block was not working. Thankfully, we were able to stroll across to a neighbouring block to get ice from another ice machine that was working.

Park Royal Orlando Deluxe Room
Once inside, we could sense the “newness” of the room. Unlike most motels, there were no musky smell. The room was clean, albeit with “popcorn walls” which we actually like as they keep pesky insects out. The floor tiles were also brand new, as with appliances and furnishings in the room. There’s also a bath tub in the bathroom as well. Water pressure was good.
The only part that we did not like was that the mattress was a little on the soft side. Nonetheless, we were still able to prop ourselves up with the ample pillows provided, allowing us to catch some of our favourite shows on HGTV.

Park Royal Orlando Facilities Review
Park Royal Orlando also offers a couple of standard facilities such as a swimming pool – perfect for families in the summer. As it was still the end-of-winter period, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the swimming pool was heated! Kids and families came out to swim at night even though temperatures dropped to slightly below 20 degrees. There’s also a gym and swimming pool on site as well.

As Target was just a short drive away, we headed over and got our dinner – including the delicious Florida Man Double IPA (8.5%). This we had together with cheese, salami and crackers as we wound down for the evening at Park Royal Orlando Hotel.
