First impressions of Plaza Premium Lounge at KLIA Terminal 1 was one of class, elegance and luxury. There are a couple of different zones within the lounge. A dining area where the buffet and bar are located. A lounge area as well as a more private area within the lounge. All decorations had the bronze-gold lining that was a common theme throughout the lounge, reminding us of the decor at Prestige Hotel Penang.
On the way in, we saw part of the lounge with views of the runway. This was actually the First Class part of the lounge and not the Plaza Premium Lounge via Priority Pass at KLIA T1. Nonetheless, the decor with its high ceilings and comfy seats really did separate itself from the other run-off-the-mill airport lounges.
What We Had at Plaza Premium Lounge KLIA Terminal 1 via Priority Pass
There were hits and misses in the food and drinks department of Plaza Premium Lounge at KLIA Terminal 1. As for the food, the selection was not too bad. The bases were covered with pasta, meats, vegetables, ala-carte curry laksa and also a salad bar along with a dessert selection. However, in the taste department, they were passable. To that end, we probably just enjoyed the curry laksa.
As for the drinks, you have the usual selection of soft drinks, coffee and juices. However, as for alcoholic drinks, you only have the Carlsberg draft beer. Wines or spirits are not included. Nonetheless, the gourmet coffee went pretty well with the desserts.

All in all, we enjoyed the ambience of Plaza Premium Lounge KLIA Terminal 1. With the draft beer, gourmet coffee and desserts, Plaza Premium Lounge is indeed a great venue to chill and unwind till your next flight out.
