Pullman Singapore Orchard Club Residence Room Review
For guests staying at Pullman Orchard Singapore, you’ll be happy to note that parking is complimentary for guests staying at the hotel. Prior to our stay, we were also prompted to activate our digital key so that we can use our smartphone for direct access to our room without the need for registration – talk about leveraging on technology.
As we stayed at the Club Residence Room of Pullman Orchard, our room was located at level 4. This is also the same level where P.S.O Beach Club, Atelier Lounge and Eden Restaurant which are open to the public, are located. But do not worry because for guests, you’ll be segregated from the public via a LED-lit tunnel. For Club Residence guests, you’ll also need to tap past a sliding door for access to the Club rooms – granting some exclusivity for guests here.
We found our Club Residence Room to be spacious upon entry and we were pleasantly surprised that Pullman Orchard Singapore had prepared a cake as they knew it was Kate’s birthday celebration during this staycation!
As for the Club Residence Room, it is a spacious 32sqm with separation of the bathroom and living space of the room. We really love the design of the wardrobe layout and bathroom with the classy champagne gold finishes sprinkled throughout the room. The bathroom also has modern rain shower facilities with amenities from America’s oldest apothecary – C.O. Bigelow Chemist…
The room also has the 5-stars facilities such as a 55″ smart TV that allows for casting from your mobile device. There’s also nespresso machine with capsules from Punto Italia Espresso. From our room, we were also able to see Takashimaya, the iconic shopping mall of Orchard Road which tells us that we’re indeed staying in the heart of Singapore’s shopping district.
Guests of Club Residence are also accorded the following Privileges from Archive Club:
• Breakfast Buffet at Archive Club or Eden Restaurant
• Early check-in and late check-out (subject to availability)
• Complimentary Evening Cocktails with canapes • Complimentary all-day non-alcoholic beverages, cookies, nuts etc.
• Complimentary one-hour usage of the boardroom, for up to six persons (subject to availability | consumption of food & beverages are chargeable)
As the sun was out, we decided to check out Archive Club during cocktail hours and head to the swimming pool at level 4 first and explore the offerings of P.S.O Beach Club…
Facilities of Pullman Singapore Orchard
As the swimming pool of Pullman Singapore Orchard is also the premise of P.S.O Beach Club, you’ll be able to enjoy cabanas and cushioned deck chairs here. During our visit, we found that the entire pool would have direct sunlight from 1pm onwards all the way till evening – perfect for those who would like to get a tan during your stay. At the cabanas and the swim-up platform, you’ll be able to find service buttons to order your cocktails or snacks while chilling by the pool…
These buttons are really useful as they allow guests to get the attention of the service staff. Within seconds (literally), a staff was seen coming out to the pool area to take orders. This time, we ordered a couple of drinks and snacks from the P.S.O Beach Club Menu, also available next to the swimming pool…
P.S.O Beach Club is known for its cocktails and Rose. This time, we started with 50 Shades of Red cocktail concocted using Orientalist Gunpowder Gin, Roselle, Melati, Pomegranate Molasses, Forest Fruit, Vanilla and Fino Spiced Sherry. Eden Crab Cakes was also a delight as the crab meat used was very generous while the the outer crust remained crisp on each bite.
After chilling for an hour or so, we decided to try out Kelapa Club and the Fish and Chips from P.S.O Beach Club…
For those who are looking for a “healthier” cocktail, Kelapa Club uses coconut water and oolong tea such that your cocktail would not be so sweet, allowing the taste of the Orientalist BYO Dragon Whisky to surface on each sip. The Fish and Chips from PSO Beach Club was also excellent. You could taste the turmeric coated on the batter while the fish fillet within remained tender and juicy within. The whole-cut fries and salad complemented this dish well.
Another highlight of the swimming pool of Pullman Singapore Orchard is that you’ll find several instagrammable spots here. Whether it is the flamingo/swan in the pool, the outlines of the hotel’s facade or simply the comfortable spaces at the cabanas, you’ll be able to find a great spot to make memories with your friends and loved ones here.

Gym at Pullman Singapore Orchard Hotel
Next to the swimming pool, you’ll also be able to find the gym of Pullman Singapore Orchard. The gym is open 24 hours a day and is suitably equipped with free weights, treadmills, elliptical trainer and a couple of gym machines. Next to it is a unisex changing room which has 2 shower points and a toilet within. The strange thing is that the toilet comprises of two doors that is also a linkway between the swimming pool and the gym. Not a fan of this design. Hence, if you’re thinking of using the loo while chilling at the pool, the toilets next to Atelier Lounge could be a better option (remember to dry yourself before entering).
Pullman Singapore Orchard Archive Club Review
After our time at the pool, we took a little nap before evening cocktail hours from 5pm to 7pm at Archive Club of Pullman Singapore Orchard Hotel. As we were staying just 2 doors down from Archive Club, it was pretty convenient for us to drop by for a quick coffee, some water and this evening for the canapes and drinks for sunset cocktail…
Unlike most club lounge of hotels that have a see-through glass door, the Archive Club has a rather discrete entrance. The door is actually just like any other hotel room door. But once you tap your access card to enter, you’ll be welcomed into a different world within – akin to a mysterious trap door that leads to some bars in Singapore.
There’s another unique draw of Archive Club. As the name of this Club Lounge suggests, Archive Club actually has several displays of “archives” from fashion geniuses and fashion house archives sprinkled throughout the club. There were pieces such as irons, top hats, sewing machines, typewriters, cameras, scarves and many other intricate pieces that had been curated to inspire guests as you commune in this private and exclusive space meant for Club Residence, Suites, as well as Platinum, Diamond and Limitless members of Accor Plus.
The Archive Club opens from 7am to 10pm daily and you’ll be able to have access to non-alcoholic refreshments and snacks throughout the day. We particularly love the Flat White. Though it is served from a machine, it tastes just like a gourmet coffee that you’d probably fork out $6 for at a premium coffee joint. Of course, during sunset cocktail hours from 5pm to 7pm, you’ll be able to enjoy finger food, canapes and a wide range of alcholic drinks that includes beers, cocktails, spirits and wines…
During our visit this time, we were able to enjoy canapes such as Primavera Tartlets, Chicken Mayo Brioche, Chilli Crab Navette and a selection of cheeses, cold cuts and desserts (ondeh ondeh cake). Although the selection does not include warm dishes, we particularly enjoyed the brioche, navette and tartlets. Both the brioche and navette were so sweet while the tartlets were crusty on each bite. But the highlight for us has got to be the alcoholic selection at Archive Club during cocktail hours at Pullman Singapore Orchard. This is because it has probably the widest selection of wines on any cocktail hours we’ve seen so far…
Alcoholic Selection available at Archive Club during cocktail hours:
Champagne/Sparkling: Maxime Blin Carte Blance Brut, France, NV ($67)
Rose: Miss, Rose, Cotes De Provence, France, 2020
White Wines
Pinot Gris, Amisfield, Central Otago, NZ, 2021 ($51)
Sauvignon Blanc, Mount Riley, Marlborough, NZ, 2022 ($49)
Riesling, Hewitson Gun Metal, Eden Valley, Barossa, 2021, South Australia
Georges Duboeuf, Macon-Villages Blanc, Burgundy, France, 2018
Red Wines
Altos Las Hormigas, Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina, 2020
Chateauneuf-du-pape, Chateau Maucoil, 2020, France ($69)
Chianti Classico Riserva, Rocca Delle Macie, Italy, 2019
Shiraz, Kaesler ‘Reach for the Sky’, Barossa Valley, South Australia, 2018 ($65)
Pinor Noir, Deep Down, Marlborough, 2022, NZ
Pinot Noir, Veramonte, Casablanca Valley, Chile, 2021
There were a total of 12 wines to choose from, on top of beers, cocktails and spirits! Of these, there were also several good bottles of wines where you can see are priced in excess of $50 per bottle. Pullman Singapore Orchard is indeed very generous in their selection of wines for cocktail hours. This is also seen in the selection of beers where the Brewlander Freedom Lager, known for its malty, hoppy tastes is also included in the beer list. There were also ready-to-enjoy cocktails such as the Singapore Sling and Negroni complete with your own choice of garnishes as well. Definitely a treat to be enjoying sunset cocktail hours at Pullman Singapore Orchard’s Archive Club. Speaking of sunset, we were also able to see the sun setting on the horizon at Archive Club. Despite being located at level 4, the angle of sunset could be seen clearly during cocktail hours – painting the sky, a beautiful orange hue during this time…
Besides cocktail hours, we also found that the Archive Club served a different breakfast menu as compared to the breakfast offerings at Eden Restaurant. In particular, the Avocado Toasts and Fiorentine Eggs caught our attention…

Pullman Singapore Orchard Eden Restaurant Review
After ample pre-dinner drinks at Archive Club, we headed over to Eden Restaurant to try out the “Flavours of Singapore” Menu that Pullman Singapore Orchard has rolled out for the month of August…
We have actually written an extensive review of our dinner at Eden Restaurant Pullman Singapore Orchard. The “Flavours of Singapore” menu actually highlights Singapore cuisine and the offerings at Eden Restaurant had been elevated to reflect that. This time, we had the Singapore Prawn Laksa, Nasi Lemak and 2 cocktails – Spirit of A City and Rise of the Singapore Dragon.
We must say that we totally enjoyed the offerings at Eden Restaurant. Firstly, the ambience was classy and cosy, allowing conversations to flow as you catch up with friends over a simple meal. Secondly, both the Singapore Prawn Laksa and Nasi Lemak had an unique twist to Eden’s rendition of these Singapore cuisine. For instance, the Singapore Prawn Laksa had fresh, sweet and succulent prawns that complemented the laksa that had a thick, rich gravy strewn over the thick rice noodles. On the other hand, the chicken rendang of the Nasi Lemak was so tender and beautifully infused with the spices that it came together beautifully with the medley of textures from the ikan bilis, sambal and runny yolk from the sunny side up.
Both cocktails were of a cocktail bar standard, complete with a beautiful presentation and cocktail-grade singular ice cube that keeps the cocktail tastes intact and chilled. Definitely enjoyed our meal here and is recommended for intimate settings as a couple or a casual venue to catch up among friends. Eden Restaurant does set the standards high.
After dinner, we also visited the Once Upon An Island: Images of Singapore exhibition at Atelier Lounge by Dr Ivan Polunin…
Dr Ivan Polunin was a medical doctor, author, teacher, documentary filmmaker, and photographer and is best known for his rare colour films in Singapore and Malaysia of the 1950s, 60s. During this visit, it was as though we had taken a time machine and travelled back in time to see how daily life was like during the early days of independence in Singapore. Check out the video montage shown at the exhibition as well. It was interesting to see the type of food that was eaten by Singaporeans then as well as the currency used, items sold and just the general life of locals back then. This exhibition is free for the public as well.
We decided to take a stroll outside after the exhibition. Because of Pullman Singapore Orchard’s location, we were able to take a walk along Orchard Road to visit Paragon, Wisma, Takashimaya and Tang’s…

The next morning, we returned for breakfast at Eden Restaurant to check out the breakfast menu of Pullman Singapore Orchard. The variety was not as extensive as some hotels we’ve visited but it had all the bases covered in terms of asian cuisine, western selection, cereals and milk for the kids, bakery, “live” station for noodles and congee as well as fresh juices and coffees…
We must say that the quality of offerings at breakfast of Eden Restaurant (Pullman Orchard Singapore) is rather good. The Olive Fried Rice is not a common item that you’ll find at buffet breakfasts and the fresh fruits and juices were pretty decent as well. Seated within the classy ambience of Eden Restaurant along with its comfortable sofa seats also elevated the overall dining experience.

After breakfast, we binge-watched a little of We Bare Bears before reluctantly checking out from Pullman Singapore Orchard. This staycation at Pullman Orchard was definitely rejuvenating and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool, cocktail hours at Archive Club as well as both our meals at Eden Restaurant. Glad to have found a hidden gem to add to our Singapore Staycation recommendations. Do check out Pullman Singapore Orchard if you’re thinking of having a convenient location with great facilities and dining options in the heart of Singapore’s shopping district!
