Quantum of the Seas Cruise to Nowhere Day 5: Disembarkation Day =(

Too soon, it was disembarkation day for our 5D4N Cruise to Nowhere onboard the Quantum of the Seas =(

As usual, we woke up early and got our freshly-squeezed orange and triple shot latte at La Pattiserie. We thanked the Barista who took good care of us for our early morning energy boosts. For breakfast, we headed to Windjammer where the sunrise was awaiting

This morning, we had the asian selection of fried yellow noodles, congee with pork floss as well as the NY bagel with cream cheese! 🤤

On hindsight, it would have been great to get some pizza from Sorento’s. They have the best pizza, even when compared to those on land. Legit. Also, for other breakfast venues on the last day, you can check out the main dining room (7am onwards) or Cafe Two270 (6am onwards). After breakfast, we took a walk on deck 15 before retreating to our cabin to await for our number to be called for departure.

The departure process was rather smooth. All you had to do was to refer to the instructions that were left in-room, the night before…

Also, the night before, we were given our tag numbers. No. 23. According to the instructions, we were expected to depart at 8:45am. The numbers would be flashed in the in-room TV Royal Caribbean Channel and the timing given was rather accurate. We did depart on time at 8:45am.

Lastly, to close out your accounts, you’d just have to visit Guest Services or if you had checked-in with your credit card, you’re good to go as well.

Final Thoughts on Cruise to Nowhere Royal Caribbean Cruise Quantum of the Seas

As with boarding, make sure that you have your Trace Together App or token, as well as your passport ready. Before you leave the ship, the Royal Caribbean blue tracelet will be returned. There were staff all the way through immigration where we followed the automated lanes with facial recognition. Bags were scanned and soon we were out of Marina Bay Cruise Centre. The entire process probably took less than 10 minutes!

Also, since February, there is no longer a need to do another swab test upon arrival back in Singapore after a cruise to nowhere. Hence, we just walked off the ship. Simple. There were plenty of Grab/Gojek cars available. If you prefer public transport, there’s a bus (400) that takes you to the MRT. If you think that the wait is too long, you can take a walk (approximately 10 minutes) to Marina South MRT station as well.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed this 5D4N cruise to nowhere with Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas. The Safe Management Measures were thorough, service was impeccable, great performances and delicious cuisine – especially with the Unlimited Dining Package. We couldn’t ask for more. Hopefully, the worldwide COVID situation can be put under control in the near future and we can resume travels as before. Otherwise, cruises to nowhere are a really good alternative to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life back in Singapore.
