During our recent cruise to nowhere with Royal Caribbean Cruise, we bought the refreshment package as we sailed onboard Quantum of the Seas. Since this was a cruise to nowhere, having the refreshment package gave us more options as we dined and chilled aboard the ship. If you’re sailing on Quantum of the Seas, find out more about what you’d be able to get with your refreshment package!
What’s Included in the Royal Caribbean Cruise Refreshment Package?
From Royal Caribbean’s Refreshment Package site, these are included in the package:
If you’re wondering how the Coca-Cola souvenir cup looks like, here it is…
The Coca-Cola souvenir cup was not automatically given to us upon arrival, so we had to collect it ourselves. We almost forgot about it until the 4th day of the cruise to nowhere before we picked it up. There are usually Coca-Cola freestyle machines for these cups to be used. However, due to the pandemic, the machines were not in use during our cruise to nowhere with Quantum of the Seas.
Where can you use the Refreshment Package on Quantum of the Seas
La Patisserie
La Patisserie is probably our favourite place to utilise the Refreshment Package. Located at Deck 4, La Patisserie opens at 6am each morning, which was great for us. Not only were we able to get our gourmet coffee to kick start each day (think mocha, double/triple shot soy latte and caramel macchiato), we were able to grab freshly-squeezed orange juice here as well…
Windjammer
Besides being the best buffet restaurant onboard, Windjammer also has a spot for gourmet coffee as well as freshly squeezed orange juices. Located at deck 14, it also offers one of the best views on board…
Cafe Two70
Just like Windjammer, there’s also a spot for gourmet coffee inside Cafe Two70. No freshly-squeezed orange juice here but we were able to try Caribbean Coconut – an ice Latte flavoured with coconut.
Harp and Horn
Located right in the middle of the Royal Promenade, Harp and Horn is a pub with a nice ambience to kick back and relax with some non-alcoholic mocktails. This time, we enjoyed the San Pellegrino (sparkling water over lemon) and No-jito (non-alcoholic Mojito). Don’t forget to check out the large comfy sofas inside!

Bars around the ship
There are bars all around the ship that serves non-alcoholic mocktails as well. Whether you’re at the pool bar, Sunshine bar (Solarium) or the Bionic Bar, you’ll be able to get mocktails such as virgin Pina Colada, Strawberry smoothie and more!
Restaurants and Specialty Dining Restaurants
At restaurants all round the ship, you’ll be able to enjoy soft drinks as well as gourmet coffee. Some restaurants have drinks unique to the restaurants. For instance, at Jamie’s we were able to enjoy Berry Blast and Homemade Lemonade. At Izumi’s Japanese Restaurant, green tea and roasted brown rice tea.
So…is the Royal Caribbean Cruise’s Refreshment Package REALLY worth it?
Value of Refreshment Package
There were several emails sent to us prior to the cruise for discounts on the Refreshment Package of up to 50%. Eventually, we got the deal for $23 SGD per person per day. On first look, it may sound rather expensive. However, given that prices of gourmet coffee and juices go at about $6 SGD on average, 4 drinks would have broke even. On average, we had close to 10 drinks.
Availability of water throughout the ship
Not only did we derive value from the refreshment package, we were also able to grab bottled water (both spring and San Pellegrino) all around the ship! If you have read our review on day 1 of our cruise to nowhere, you’d know that the 2 bottles of water supplied in-room are only done for the first day. For the rest of the cruise, if you’re not on refreshment package, you’d need to either top up your bottles at Cafe Promenade or restaurants during meal times. With the refreshment package, it added much convenience for access to water throughout the ship.
Trying out new fancy drinks
Also, we were able to enjoy fancy drinks that we would not normally order at Starbucks, such as a double shot soy latte or a raspberry creamice. That to us, was another great value of having the refreshment package onboard.
Having a drink to chill while enjoying the sound of the waves
Lastly, it’s really nice to just chill with a drink as we enjoyed the sounds of the seas in our state room. Hence, besides the value, the options and the availability of water around the ship, having a drink (albeit non-alcoholic) did add to the holiday feel during this cruise to nowhere.

Hi for the refreshment, they will put in takeaway cups and we will be able to bring it around? Or do we have to sit in the cafe to finish before going off? Thanks in advance.
Hi Ada,
We had no issues bring the drinks around. However, prior to entry into theatres for shows, they have to be consumed and left outside.
Hope this helps! Enjoy the cruise ahead!

Hi, the discount for the beverage price, is it the same in every email? If it varies, when they offer the highest discount?
Hi Mui,
Based on experience, you’ll get the best discount as far out as possible – in the proximity of 6 months or earlier. Closer to the date of departure, usually the price would not come down or may even be sold out.
Hence, it would be best to book as soon as you can. A 40% discount would be pretty decent.
Have a blessed cruise ahead!
