After reviewing Dnata Lounge and Plaza Premium Lounge, we headed next to the last airport lounge covered by Priority Pass at Terminal 1 – SATS Premier Lounge. SATS Premier Lounges in Singapore Changi Airport has been known for their quality of food. In this review, we’re going to cover the food, shower and amenities available at SATS Premier Lounge of Changi Airport Terminal 1.

Review of Plaza Premium Lounge Terminal 1 Changi International Airport
Just as with the rest of the airport lounges under Priority Pass, we just had to hand over our Priority Pass card as well as our boarding pass for checking-in. A quick signature and we’re in.
Inside SATS Premier Lounge, the areas were divided into a few smaller “enclaves”. The TV area, food area, rest area (with quality massage chairs!) and a VIP area…
In general, SATS Premier Lounge felt spacious and most of the needs of transiting travellers can be met here. We particularly enjoyed the massage area, perfect for weary travellers to loosen up and relax in a little sanctuary. We almost dozed off here! 😛
Food at SATS Premier Lounge T1 Singapore Changi Airport
Of all the lounges under Priority Pass at Changi Airport, we particularly enjoyed the quality of food from SATS Premier Lounges. Some airport lounges offer quality while others variety. At SATS Premier Lounge, you’ll be able to have the best of both worlds…
We probably have a bias but we always enjoy coming back to SATS Premier Lounge and taste local delicacies such as kway teow soup, chicken rice (complete with ginger and chicken rice chili!), butter chicken and laksa. Especially when we’ve been away for a while. Tastes of home always tastes the best right? Most of these local delicacies tastes above average and because of their consistently high standards, we think that they’re probably the best in terms of taste for lounges under the Priority Pass access.
Do note that there are no mineral water in bottles – probably a measure against single-use plastics. Water is dispensed from a cooler with glasses next to it.
Showers at SATS Premier Lounge T1 Singapore Changi Airport
The shower facilities are located within the toilets of SATS Premier Lounge. There are no queue systems. Just wait for an available cubicle and you’re good to go. This also means that you’ll have to approach one of the staff to get a clean towel prior to entering and that the cubicles are probably not cleaned just prior to your usage.
Rest areas in SATS Premier Lounge T1 Singapore Changi Airport
Unfortunately, there are not sleeping or designated rest areas within the lounge. You may attempt to sleep at the massage area with seats fully inclined – but you might be approached if you stay for a long time here.

We’ve got to say that the food at SATS Premier Lounge has got to be one of the best for lounges accessed via Priority Pass. However, down sides include the lack of sleeping areas and showers that may not be cleaned just prior to your usage. Do note that SATS Premier Lounges are available at Terminal 1,2 and 3 of Singapore Changi Airport. The food and amenities offered at all the 3 SATS Premier Lounges are pretty similar. Hence, you can use this review of SATS Premier Lounge as a pretty accurate reference for the rest of the SATS lounges at the other terminals.
