SeaWorld San Diego is one of the top attractions in San Diego and during our recent visit, we finally had the opportunity to see what the hype was all about. As a result, we did have a “killer whale” of a time!

Shows at SeaWorld San Diego
When you visit SeaWorld San Diego, it is important to first look at the shows and timings that are shown throughout the day. This time, we planned our entire day around the shows and the shows featured includes
1. Killer Whales: Up Close (Shamu Stadium)
2. One Ocean (Shamu Stadium)
3. Sea Lions LIVE (Sea Lion & Otter Stadium)
4. Dolphin Days (Dolphin Point)
5. Pets Rule (Pets Stadium)
6. Magic Weekends (Mission Bay Theater)
For the months of April and May 2016, there are featured magicians who will perform each weekend. These shows are of relatively high quality with the likes of Steve Wyrick & Michael Grasso.
We also took highlights from each of the shows and here they are…

Due to the timings of the shows, we focused our visit in completing all the shows and only managed to take the sky tower ride. Nonetheless, it was a pretty enjoyable ride. Here’s a tip, the sky tower opens at 9am, before the rest of the park opens. Hence, you can head over earlier and enjoy a couple of rounds on the sky tower before heading over for the first show that usually starts at 10:30am.

All in all, it was a beautiful day out at SeaWorld San Diego. We particularly enjoyed the Killer Whale shows where we still wonder how in the world did they get those killer whales to flip in the air?! By the way, some people were saying that you should catch the killer whales before they die (or phase out). In fact, the youngest killer whale is now 2 years old while the oldest killer whale is 50 years old, it will be probably more than 20 years before the killer whale shows end. Oh, and we got to take pictures with both Bert and Ernie! 🙂
