Our day 3 of our familiarisation trip with Tourism Selangor, we started out the day at 3D Art Gallery in Sekinchan, Selangor.
Selangor Familiarisation Trip with Tourism Selangor – 3D Art Gallery Sekinchan Selangor
3D Art Gallery
Address: 45400 Sekinchan, Selangor, Malaysia
Opening Hours: 9.30 am – 7pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday
The paintings were portrayed in a way where it really does trick the eye when you take pictures from a certain angle! It was a building on its own with many paintings to go crazy with photo-taking. Leading up the roof is a 360 view of the paddy fields. Reasonably priced with a great view only means one thing, worth it! However I did not remember seeing a lift while I was in that building. So do take note on that part if you have elderly folks coming along as well.
Selangor Familiarisation Trip with Tourism Selangor – Exotic Cuisine for Lunch
For lunch, we were greeted with exotic foods at the table when we arrived. These meats include Ayam Hutan (Kampong chicken), Daging Rusa (Deer Meat), Daging Landak (Porcupine meat), Ikan Baung (Cat Fish in Gravy). Daging Landak (Porcupine meat) was a new experience for us. It was cooked with chilli and other spices so there really was no unusual smell at all. The meat was surprisingly tender! Mixing the meat with the rice and adding a little pinch of sambal was the way to go. These locals sure know how to enjoy their food! It was so delicious that porcupine meat was one of the first dishes on the table to be cleared out! The other dishes were just as good. The cat fish was cooked with a tinge of durian, which emits an appetizing fragrance. Overall, the style of cooking these dishes were rather unique, adding on to the idea of an “exotic cuisine”…

MinNature is Malaysia’s first and largest miniature wonderland featuring local buildings and magical-themed models. Inspired by the European way of presenting the concept. Most of the structures/models are based on imaginations such as mushroom forests. A business model that is family oriented, MinNature Museum leaves out lengthy descriptions of the structures with the intention that parents will tell their kids themselves. Creativity is boundless. Tell it the way you like!

Workshops are available (for all ages). Future plans in workshops include teaching learners how to build mountains or installing lights in models. Feel free to like them on Facebook to keep up with their latest updates.
On the last day of our stay in Selangor, we ended off with a Klang Heritage Walking Tour.
The Klang Heritage Walk led us to streets where the guide patiently explained to us specific landmarks and the stories behind it. It was very enriching and the stories were simply engaging. We visited a number of landmarks such as the Klang Fire Station, Our Lady of Lourdes Church as well as the Old Chartered Bank Building, just to name a few. The best part about the walk is that it is free! Just imagine, professionally trained tour guides leading you on a free tour? Perfect!
Travel Tip: It is important to stay hydrated on this walk. Remember to wear comfortable shoes as you would be doing a good deal of walking. Bring an umbrella (especially those with UV protection from the scorching sun). Sunglasses are definitely a good choice as well! Dress comfortably and expect to perspire during the walk!
