Singapore Smash 2025 is WTT’s Premier Table Tennis Tournament held annually in Singapore. The event features men’s and ladies’ table tennis singles, doubles as well as mixed doubles events. The reason why there is a “Smash” series in addition to the “championship” and “contender” series is because there are open qualifying spots unlike the championship series which are by-invite only to seeded players. This year, we bought the day 6 session 12 tickets which featured the
1. Men’s Singles Quarterfinals
2. Women’s Singles Quarterfinals
3. Mixed Doubles Finals

Buying and Choosing the Seats for Singapore Smash 2025 Tickets

In general, the ticket prices become more expensive as you progress from day 1 to day 8 (final day). This is because the better players will progress and the quality of play that you’ll be witnessing will get better each day as well. The map above shows the day 7’s seating map at OCBC Arena (Infinity Arena) as well as the prices. Ours was day 6 which was slightly cheaper. For our day 6 match that featured men’s/singles quarterfinals and finals, the price of the tickets was $90 each.
To access the tickets, you have the choice of printing the tickets at home or download the ticketek app and show the barcode on-site, which we did. Both options are free and don’t add to the cost of the tickets.
There are also General Admission tickets that goes for $40, allowing visitors to view matches at stipulated times (usually 12pm this year) across 3 tables. The difference between the tickets at Infinity Arena and General Admission is that everyone watches one featured match being played at one time inside the Infinity Arena while General Admission watches up to 3 different matches ongoing at the same time. The General Admission ticket does give you an opportunity to catch the stars in action as not all matches can be shown at the Infinity Arena. This also means fans are able to catch Table Tennis stars at a fraction of the price as well.
As you can see from the seat map, the A and B blocks allows only views from one side of the table and if you’re like us at block A2, row A, your views may be blocked – row A is the lowest row in the block.

However, you can pay a little more to be behind the Smash Lounge at Block C where you will be able to see the left to right orientation of the table – the usual view that you see on television.

As for the premium seats, there are 3 different categories available. The Platinum seats, the Smash Lounge seats and the Infinity Lounge seats.
If you are a true table tennis fan, the Platinum seats probably give you one of the best and closest view in the house…
Platinum Seats

The Platinum seats are the most premium seats in the house that gives you a close up view of the match without the distraction of the other fans in the area. There would be no other fans in front of you, giving you the best views in the house. VIP hospitality service comes along with these tickets.
Smash Lounge

Smash Lounge has the direct left to right orientation of the table. However, it is behind the Platinum seats. So it does not have the best views in the house but it is located next to the lounge where the food and drinks are. Strangely though, we did not notice anyone heading to the lounge to get the food on offer. From our view, we saw satay, nachos and selection of beers/wines/sparkling.
We also saw 徐若瑄 (Xu Ruo Xuan – Vivian Hsu) at one of these seats, still with her cap on. But the cameraman spotted her and featured her on one of the big screens during the break.
Infinity Lounge

Lastly, the Infinity Lounge are best to catch Table Tennis stars close up. This is because they will walk out of the player’s tunnel passing by next to the seats at the Infinity Lounge. Here, you will have to ask one of the service staff to bring you the food and drinks but the view of the match, just like Smash Lounge, would not be as good as the Platinum seats. These are nonetheless, the most expensive seats in the house.
Hence, depending if you’re here for an experience (like us – Blocks A to C or General Admission), catch the live action up close (Platinum Seats), see the Table Tennis stars up close (Infinity Lounge) or have the VIP experience (Smash Lounge), there is something available for everyone. Yes, the organisers have made Table Tennis, a sport, within reach of all budgets. Even offering free entries on the first 2 qualifying days!
Singapore Smash 2025 – Our Pre-match Experience

Prior to entering the Smash Park (just outside the OCBC Arena), we headed to Kallang Wave Mall for dinner. As it was before 5pm, the lunch deals at Seoul Yummy was still available. We had the Bibimbap and Mini Army Stew before heading to the Smash Park. Inside Kallang Wave Mall, we also saw some junior table tennis competition that were held in conjunction with Smash Singapore 2025. The junior table tennis players were really quite good…
Smash Park (Outside OCBC Arena)

Before entering Smash Park, you’ll be able to see some of the photo spots outside with banners of the Smash Singapore 2025 event. To enter the Smash Park, there’s a security check for those with a bag.

Inside Smash Park, it is like a little festival area!
You’ll first walk past a couple of table tennis tables where fans can play on one of the outdoor tables set up. You can also purchase Smash Singapore 2025 merchandise along with other table tennis labels that have set up stores here. There was also an VR experience booth where you can play VR table tennis or experience walking into the Infinity Arena just like how the table tennis stars would.
There’s also a live entertainment area where there would be bands playing and also hosted events where fans can get up close with table tennis stars and do a selfie with them. Food stalls can be found here as well.
Singapore Smash 2025 – Inside the Infinity Arena

As we were familiar with how the different blocks were oriented, we were able to find out seats rather easily. If you’re unfamiliar, staff will be on hand to bring you to your seats. Before you can enter the Smash Park, you’d have to empty out your water bottles, this is also why you’ll find a long queue inside the Infinity Arena where fans are refilling their water bottles.
Inside, you’ll also be given a wrist band with lights that coordinate with the event. Sadly, these wrist bands have to be returned after the event – we thought that they would be souvenirs for the event. You’ll also be given a stamp on the arm for return into the arena if you exit in between games.

Our first match for the evening and probably the most exciting match for us, was the match between
LIN Yun-Ju (11) vs LIN Shidong (2)

Even though Lin Yun-Ju eventually lost 4-1, there was a game where he narrowly lost 11-9 and the game which he lost 11-7, there were several lucky bounces for Lin Shidong. Sad that the “Silent Assasin” didn’t get to progress further this year.
The next match was between HE Zhuojia vs Sun Yingsha (1)

This was a very strange match. You’d notice that inside the Infinity Arena, there would be MANY Chinese fans. But when Chinese players play against Chinese players, there wasn’t much cheering going on – except when long rallies took place. Otherwise, the arena was oddly quiet during this match.
Then, it was the match between WANG Chuqin(1) vs Patrick FRANZISKA

This was probably the match which most of the fans came for. As soon as Wang Chuqin came into the arena, scores of Chinese fans whipped out their handphones to capture photos and videos of the table tennis star. During the match which he won 4-1, the army of fans were shouting out “Wang Chuqin, Jia You!” which was a cheer to spur him on – especially for the game that Wang Chuqin lost to Patrick Franziska.

The last match this evening was between Lin Shidong/Kuai Man vs Sora Matsushima/Miwa Harimoto. The Lin/Kuai combination won 3-1 and it was almost like a China vs Japan finals where the fans were shouting “China, Jia You!”.

At the end of each match, there will be an interview with the winner – for instance, this interview with Sun Yingsha. During the interview, she joked that she would be having a good meal later this evening. Wang Chuqin on the other hand, didn’t do an interview – we think, probably because the interviewer asked a rather low quality question a couple of days before.
