Sushi Express Singapore Review: Tips and Tricks of Ordering at Sushi Express!

Sushi Express Singapore

Sushi Express hails from Taiwan is one of the largest conveyor belt sushi brands in Asia. But what really draws the crowds to Sushi Express in Singapore is its price. At $1.50++ per plate of sushi, its offerings are competitively priced. In this review, we’ll show you some tips and tricks when you visit Sushi Express, to have the best bang for your buck!

Sushi Express Review Tip #1: The Seat

Stepping into a Sushi Express in Singapore, you’d want to be a little choosy about where you sit. Due to the conveyor belt concept of delivering sushi at Sushi Express, you’ll find that you may not always know which are the freshest items on the food belt.

By sitting near to the chef, you’ll be sure to know which items he’s preparing and if you like the item, you’ll probably have first dips on them as well – think omakase, economical-style. 😁

Sushi Express Review Tip #2: Miso Soup

Before our visit, we researched and found that the miso soup is a “MUST-ORDER” item at Sushi Express. But how good can a miso soup be? Turns out, this is not a normal miso soup. It is a SALMON Miso Soup. Chock full of salmon at that! With every spoonful, we enjoyed fresh chunky salmon and not-too-salty/healthy-tasting miso soup.

Priced at the same price as the $1.50++ sushi plates, the miso soup is a “MUST-ORDER” item at Sushi Express!

If there are any items that you’d like but is not on the sushi conveyor belt, all you’ll have to do is wave to your nearest server and inform him/her. Simple as that. The sushi would then be delivered right to your table. This time, we ordered some salmon belly sashimi as well!
