TGM Sashimi Platter (Salmon, Tuna, Swordfish) at Changi Airport Terminal 2 Review

TGM was one of our favourite Priority Pass venues pre-COVID. In this review, we’ll share the latest menu from TGM Priority Pass T2 (which is more extensive now) and also what we experienced then…

As mentioned in our pre-COVID Priority Pass coverage of TGM at Changi Airport Terminal 2, TGM is not really a lounge but a dining option that is available to Priority Pass holders. Nonetheless, we’ve always enjoyed a meal at TGM prior visits to the airport lounges. We’re also happy to note that the post-COVID menu at TGM has become more extensive…

Review of TGM Changi Airport Terminal 2 with Priority Pass

Pre-COVID, we would enjoy the Sashimi Platter and this time, it was no different. Just as good as we recalled…

We found that the taste of the sashimi to be pretty good, especially the texture of the swordfish with its ever-so-slight crunch. Together with the wasabi and pearl rice? Superb!

This time, we also tried the Beef Bibimbap Set. We love it that when the bibimbap arrived at our table, it was still sizzling within our bowl. With the runny egg yolk, we were able to “gel” all the ingredients and sauce together. Was a rather good attempt at aiming for the authenticity of Korean cuisine here at Changi Airport.

During this visit, despite the menu stating that “All items will come with 1 can of beer and 1 green tea/coffee/soft drink or 2 non-alcoholic beverages”, we were not served the alcoholic selection. Perhaps, we would ask about it specifically during our next on-site visit. 🤔

On a separate occasion, we visited TGM at Changi T2 again. However, we decided to do a take-away this time so that we could enjoy it with the wines from the lounges. This time, we chose the Grilled Australian ribeye (140gm) so that we can enjoy the excellent The Chocolate Block red wine from Marhaba Lounge

This time, we took away the Pork Tonkatsu and Yakiniku (Grilled Australian Ribeye – 140gm). We found the pork tonkatsu to be tasty but it tended to be a little dry after a bit. The highlight for us was definitely the Yakiniku. The grilled Australian ribeye was so tender and tasty, excellent with the Japanese pearl rice provided. This, we complemented with the red wine from the lounges which was superb! 😋

TGM has always been our favourite dining venue provided by Priority Pass at Changi Airport. Our favourites are definitely the Sashimi Platter as well as the Yakiniku. Dining at TGM also provides a classy ambience that elevates the entire dining experience. The only downside is that even though the menu says that beer is included, on the ground, the staff does not include it. Nonetheless, with unlimited Priority Pass access via Citi Prestige, we’d definitely continue our visits to TGM while grabbing drinks at one of the many excellent airport lounges (such as Plaza Premium and SATS lounges).
