Before we arrived in Hilton Busan, we knew that it would be a swanky hotel by the sea, topped with 5 star facilities. However, during our stay at Hilton Busan, we realised that it was that and much much more! Thanks to the great folks at Hilton Hotel Busan, we were given an opportunity to stay at the King Deluxe Room with Ocean View. In this review of Hilton Busan, we’ll also show you why we think Hilton Busan is probably one of the most instagrammable hotels in the world!

Hilton Busan Review – Instagrammable Lower and Upper Lobbies
The unique experience of checking in at Hilton Busan is that the lobby is located at level 10. During our stay, we drove from Gimhae International Airport (Busan) to Hilton Busan. You’ll be happy to note that parking is complimentary for guests. Just make sure that you inform the reception of your car number during check in. As we parked at Ananti Town (a cool venue that we’ll talk about more later in this post), we passed through the lower lobby at level 1, where we found one of the most instagrammable walk ways in a hotel…
At the reception, not only will you be greeted with expansive sea views from the full glass panels of the lobby, you’ll also find one of the most instagrammable hotel lobbies in the world right here at Hilton Busan…
After a smooth check-in process, we were shown to the lift lobby where we took the lift to our King Deluxe Room with Ocean View at Level 9. Yup, a little strange but interesting to take the lift down from the lobby to your room. Here we were greeted with many more surprises and instagrammable moments…
Hilton Busan King Deluxe Room with Ocean View Review
First impression of the room? SPACIOUS! At 60sqm, the King Deluxe Room was definitely one of the most spacious deluxe rooms that we’ve visited. In the living space, you’ll find a king-sized bed (which was superbly comfortable by the way), a 50″ TV (yup, a huge TV to go with all the space), a small dining area and a lounge chair! Here, you’ll also find Nespresso capsules and Althaus teabags for your in-room enjoyment.
The second surprise that greeted us was the HUGE bathroom! It was like a whole walk-in bathroom with shower, double vanity, a dressing area and one of the sexiest hotel bath tubs…
As Busan faces the east of South Korea, Hilton Busan enjoys amazing sunrise each morning. The next morning, we woke up at 5:30 to enjoy the sunrise while soaking in our in-room bathtub. The bath tub was one of the easiest to operate, just 2 knobs. Hot or cold. The other sexy factor about the bath tub is that it actually opens up to the balcony directly, without having to go through the room. This allows the cool morning air to flow through as you enjoy the views while staying warm in the hot tub. Ah…
Of course, the most important aspect about the King Deluxe Room at Hilton Busan? The ocean views!!!
Sunrise as seen from Hilton Busan was indeed a beautiful moment. Though the clouds covered our views a little earlier on, pretty soon, we could see the rays of the sun peaking over the horizon…
After checking out our room, it was time to check out the other top notch facilities of Hilton Busan!
Facilities of Hilton Busan Hotel
Outdoor Main Pool – B2
First things first. We just had to check out the infinity pool that everyone has been talking about at Hilton Busan. Did you know that there are 2 main pool areas (B2 & Level 2 – open during summer months) and another pool area for guests with executive lounge access – the McQueen’s Pool at Level 10?
As the weather was a little chilly at 15 degrees, we were so glad to know that the entire outdoor pool area is heated! This makes swimming and chilling in the main outdoor pool that much more enjoyable!
Of course, the other main attraction at the outdoor pool has got to be the infinity pool. There were actually 2 groups of girls doing nothing but taking turns to have their photos taken by the infinity pool. Yup, this is yet another instagrammable spot of Hilton Busan!
McQueen’s Pool – Level 10
Directly above the main outdoor pool at level 10, you’ll be able to find McQueen’s Pool.
In addition to having a heated outdoor infinity pool, amazing views, you’ll also be able to find heated jacuzzi pools and even a sauna!
We’ve got to say that our favourite experience has got to be the outdoor jacuzzi at McQueen’s Pool. Here, you’ll be able to find 3 different pools of temperatures varying from 37, 40 and 42 degrees. Soaking in a hot tub with ambient temperatures of 15 degrees while taking in the amazing ocean views? Pure bliss…

Fitness Area and Sauna – Level 8/9
For many travellers today, we do think about keeping fit while on the go. Here at Hilton Busan, there are gyms and sauna areas dedicated for men and ladies (level 8 and 9 respectively) to maintain fitness and rejuvenate.
McQueen’s Bar
To wind down the evening, McQueen’s Bar is the place to see and to be seen. An instagrammable spot is the outdoor area, with a water feature where guests can hang out and enjoy majestic views over Ananti Cove.
For you love birds out there, Hilton Busan has a surprise for you. Located in this futuristic structure is actually a chapel! We have been told that due to the sea facing views from within the Chapel, many couples flock from various parts of Asia to be married here. We’ve also checked that the rates are pretty reasonable, cheap by Singapore standards. Why not consider a magical wedding here at Hilton Busan, next to the majestic Ananti Cove?
Hilton Busan Executive Lounge – The Complete Coverage
As part of our review of Hilton Busan, we were able to have access to the Executive Lounge, a sanctuary for the most sophisticated of travellers today…
The Hilton Busan Executive Lounge is open daily from 6:30am to 10pm. In addition, you’ll be able to enjoy
Continental Breakfast: 6:30am to 10am
Afternoon Tea: 3pm to 5pm
Evening Drinks: 6pm to 8pm
Hilton Busan Executive Lounge Afternoon Tea
At afternoon tea, you’ll be able to enjoy freshly made cakes and cookies. Perfect with gourmet coffee…
Hilton Busan Executive Lounge Evening Drinks and Canape
For evening drinks and canape, the selection extends to fruits, salads, sandwiches, wings, rice, pizza as well as alcoholic drinks. These include liquor, beers, wines and a light champagne!
Did we mention that the Executive Lounge also have full glass panels, allowing guests to enjoy the ocean views while sipping on vino and nibbling on canapes? 🙂
As the Executive Lounge is meant only for adults, familes with children below 13 years old can enjoy similar canapes at Meeting Room 4 @ B1F. This also meant that the entire environment and ambience at Hilton Busan Executive Lounge remained classy, save for when the drinks and laughter start flowing…you know what we mean ;P
Hilton Busan Executive Lounge Breakfast
Breakfast at the Hilton Busan Executive Lounge can be an experience in itself. As Hilton Busan faces east towards the ocean, you’ll find amazing sunrise each morning, coupled with these delectable breakfast choices…
Of course, at 5 star hotels such as Hilton Busan, you’ll expect nothing less than eggs benedict for breakfast…
Ananti Town @ Ananti Cove
Accessible via the lower lobby of Hilton Busan is Ananti Town. Ananti Town, named after Ananti Cove (shared location of Hilton Busan), is a precinct of shops, restaurants and even a spa called Water House…
Ananti Town is anchored by Eternal Journey – a 1540㎡ bookstore, the biggest facility within the premise of Ananti Town. A lifestyle destination, where you can sip on a cup of coffee, browse products from stationary to bags and even read a book at the quiet zone within the bookstore…
There are also a number of dining options including Volpino (Italian Gourmet), The Overlap (French Brunch and Bistro), Sant’ Eustachio II Caffe (one of the top 3 cafes in Rome), This is Beer (House Craft Beers), Jasaekmihak (Casual Japanese Restaurant) and Ramen Beravo which we visited this time…
For the kids, there’s Bricklive where kids can build whatever they imagine with small brick building blocks. For rides on electric cars, visit D.Throne. Unlike conventional electric cars, kids and parents can ride together on this one…
We were also given an opportunity to visit Water House at Ananti Town. With a total space of 6,600㎡ with the interior spanning 4,600㎡, Water House is probably one of the the best spa facility in South Korea. In addition,
Water House holds 100% pure hot spring water. Meaning, you’ll enjoy natural hot spring water throughout the entire facility…
Inside, you’ll find separate male and female bath houses and common areas where couples (like us) can also hang out. In the interior areas, we found pools with water jets, steam bath, sauna, pools with various temperatures and even an outdoor area – perfect for chilling out in the cool evenings.
To top things off, the Ananti Town faces Ananti Cove which offers not only great views but also a coastal walk for those leisurely strolls.

Conclusion of Hilton Busan Review
To end off the post, we’d like to share a little story about the top notch service that Hilton Busan offers. Due to a “unforeseen circumstance” (ie Tom forgot to switch the headlights from auto to off), the car battery was drained and we were unable to open the door of the car on the day of the departure. The doors didn’t even respond to the remote car key. Once we informed the front desk about our situation, Ms Irene Lee immediately helped to call AJ rent-a-car to work out a solution. Mr James Na, eventually took over the call from Ms Lee and spoke to the operator over the phone. In a matter of minutes, he had worked out a solution with the car company and handed over his handphone number to them so that he could continue to coordinate using his own handphone (that’s great service right there!). He then requested for us to lead him to our car where he stood and coordinated the entire recovery for the next 45 minutes. He told us that we could continue with our check out and he would get the car up. Sure enough, about 45 minutes later, Tom went back and the engine of the car was started! James went beyond his area of service and sought advice from the car company on how to prevent this from happening and whether there was a need for us to change the car.
Bottomline: From this incident, though it was unfortunate that the car battery went flat, we sure were glad that it took place at Hilton Busan. When James helped to coordinate the recovery of our car, we knew we were in good hands. Kudos for the excellent service!
Having visited hotels from over 40 countries worldwide, we’ve got to say that Hilton Busan is an entirely different experience altogether. Not your usual beach hotel experience, but splendid coastal views all day long, everywhere we went. Our conclusion? Hilton Busan is probably one of the most instagrammable hotels in the world!
