If you have read our Fullerton Hotel Staycation Review, you would have noticed the exuberance that the Fullerton series of hotels exude. There’s something about the old world charm that keeps drawing you back for another experience – of a different time, a different era.
This time, we returned to The Fullerton Bay Hotel (sister hotel of the Fullerton Hotel) for a leisurely afternoon tea at The Landing Point Restaurant.

Experiencing a Luxurious Afternoon Tea at the Fullerton Bay Hotel – The Landing Point
The afternoon tea at the Landing Point takes place from 3pm to 5:30pm on weekdays. We chose a week day to take in the sights within feeling being rushed if there were a crowd. Service was pretty personalised with our waitress seating us down, taking our orders for tea and inviting us to the mini-buffet section of the afternoon tea…
At the semi-buffet area (at the entrance of the Landing Point), you’ll usually find a “main” (in our case, the Hakka Abacus Seeds which was soooo good), some fried finger foods (ngor hiang was not too bad) as well as the famous Fullerton Scones with clotted cream and berry jam. We’ve tried many scones around but we always got back to Fullerton for their rendition. Authentic flavours of the scones with an ever-so-slight-chewiness that the fresh clotted cream complements perfectly.
Soon, our teas were brought to us and our 3-tiered stand of delectable afternoon tea treats…
From the savouries, we thoroughly enjoyed the Boston Lobster Cornet. The lobster was fresh, sweet, succulent (albeit a little small) and the crisp of the cornet complemented the overall texture. We also enjoyed the white truffle egg mayonnaise sandwich. Can’t really remember how many of these we had but it was many. 😛
As for the sweets, Kate enjoyed the lemon tart and the sea salt caramel tart. We had heard about them even before we visited and checked with the restaurant to ensure that they were available on the day of our visit. Due to season changes to the menu, these items may be removed in favour of hors d’oeuvre that better matched the season (such as Christmas, CNY etc.).
