Travel Club Lounge was the first lounge at KLIA that we’ve visited under our Priority Pass access. As there were no direct flights from Singapore to Phu Quoc, we transited via Kuala Lumpur Terminal 2 and had the opportunity to visit Travel Club Lounge. Prior to our visit, we found out from Priority Pass that there are actually 4 lounges that Priority Pass members can visit at Terminal 2. However, both the Sky Suite Airport Lounge and Plaza Premium Lounge were located on the “Landside”. This means that for Priority Pass members, you can only visit the Travel Club Lounges at KLIA Terminal 2. Lounge(s) because there are 2 Travel Club Lounges at KLIA T2 actually. One next to Sama Sama Hotel in the transit area and the other located next to Gate L8. Also, we found Capsule Transit – capsule hotel that offers 3 hours of rest for travellers, available to Priority Pass holders as well. An option that you can consider if you’re transiting for a longer period. This time, we dropped by Travel Club Lounge at Sector 6 (Satellite Building), next to Sama Sama Hotel – the nicer of the two Travel Club Lounge in our opinion…
About Travel Club Lounge KLIA Terminal 2 Sector 6
The Travel Club Lounge at KLIA Terminal 2 Sector 6 seems to be the main Travel Club Lounge at KLIA Terminal 2 because of the large premise that it occupies and that it also shares the toilet of the hotel’s lobby which offers shower facilities as well. Within, there are also lounge seating areas, a bar as well as an area that over looks the runway, perfect for those chillax afternoon drinks…
Using the Priority Pass app, we were quickly registered and were informed that there would be no announcement of flight and gate information. But we found that the flight status were shown in the TV within…
Travel Club Lounge Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 Airside – Food & Beverage Review
The food and beverage options at Travel Club Lounge KLIA T2 is rather extensive. You’ll be able to find a selection of beverages, fruits, yoghurt, sandwiches, salads, cereals, cookies and hot dishes – including a live station.
We were pretty happy with the variety that Travel Club Lounge offered. We also noted that the food were topped up rather promptly as well. The dishes also changes variety during meal times, giving more options to visitors of Travel Club Lounge. As for alcoholic options, only beers are served. Wines, cocktails and hard liquor are not available. This time, we were able to choose from Tiger and Heineken beers, which are poured from a can into a beer glass.
What We Had at Travel Club Lounge KLIA Terminal 2 Review
We actually found the quality of food to be not-too-bad. Of course in terms of quality, SATS and Plaza Premium ranks highly for us. (Note that we’re comparing Priority Pass Lounges and not the likes of SQ SilverKris Business Class or SQ First Class / Private Room lounges). Nonetheless, we really enjoyed the chicken kebabs on a stick, which had capsicum, cherry tomatoes, olives and onions that added to the “Mediterranean feel”.
