What we really love about this flea market is its CHARACTER. In fact, the Treasure Island Flea Market was first set up in 2011 to support local artists and entrepreneurs. Today, the same spirit remains and we were glad that we were able to enjoy the sights, sounds, tastes and experience at this fantastic flea market.

Have you watched the History Channel show called The Pickers? When you stroll through Treasure Island Flea Market, be on the lookout and you could probably find a couple of gems or 2. We really loved the fresh ideas that we saw in this flea market. For instance, there’s a bracelet that allows you to change the “snaps” (buttons) with various designs to choose from. We also saw several businesses that offered customisation of furniture and accessories which brought in many customers because of the unique pieces they had.

Food Trucks at Treasure Island Flea Market

Besides the great selection of stalls, the food trucks were also a great draw for the visitors to Treasure Island Flea Market…

There is a wide selection of food from street grubs to BBQ goodness and even Asian cuisine (Korean and Indian). For instance, the fried chicken and rice balls we had from Kokio’s was totally awesome! The chicken was tender and crispy on the outside. The soy garlic on top? Yum!
