Wamos Air (formerly known as Pullamantur Air) is the flight arm of Wamos Group, a sister company of Pullmantur Cruises. As it turns out, Wamos Air was founded to link the markets between Spain and the Caribbean, particular for the cruise lines. Many people have taken the Wamos Air between Cancun and Madrid and the price was quite reasonable at $800 for a round trip between Cancun and Madrid. The only catch is that the flight is cheap for flights on Sundays (Cancun to Madrid) to Sundays (Madrid to Cancun) only.
Wamos Air from Cancun to Madrid
At first, we were skeptical about Wamos Air. There weren’t enough information about the airlines and we were even thinking of the worst case scenario – reaching Cancun airport and not being able to find a Wamos Check-in Counter. Thankfully, there were many Wamos check-in counters at the Cancun airport and we’re happy to report that Wamos Air is a legitimate airline to take you from Cancun to Madrid.
Food on Wamos Air from Cancun to Madrid
Contrary to many reviews online, food is actually provided from Cancun to Madrid and from Madrid to Cancun aboard Wamos Air flight EB 7103. Although they are a “no-frills” kind of airline (with the primary purpose of transporting passengers for cruises), there was food and service was not too bad as well. Not excellent but service is much better than Spirit Airlines.
For the Cancun to Madrid leg, since it was an overnight flight, there was a dinner as well as a 2nd meal. Coffee would be served after the meals as well. The planes used by Wamos Air are relatively old and they actually belonged previously to…
Singapore Airlines!
Throughout the flight, the logo of Singapore Airlines was displayed when the “time to destination” came on the screen. Wonder if Singapore Airlines is good with that though…
