Review of Dnata Lounge Terminal 1 Changi International Airport

It was relatively easy to locate Dnata Lounge with its entrance marked by a large mellow blue lighting bearing the same name. The registration process was smooth. All you have to do is to have your boarding pass ready as well as your priority card handy, sign, and you’re in!

The first impression of the Dnata lounge was more like a business lounge. People were moving hurriedly or working on their laptops. The longitudinal layout also contributed to a relatively narrow walking space as compared to other lounges. As it was the evening time, the seats near the food area was also largely taken up. However, as the “turn-over” was relatively fast, we were able to snag a seat. If you’re not particular about sitting near the buffet area, there should be plenty of high seats or single seats around Dnata Lounge…

Food at Dnata Lounge T1 Singapore Changi Airport

As for the food and refreshments at Dnata Lounge, we must say that the selection was quite extensive. You’ll be able to get a good mix of western and asian selection. This time, there was a DIY udon station as well as olive and lemon chicken stew and herb roasted potatoes…

You’ll be happy to note that there’s an extensive selection of alcoholic drinks ranging from hard liquors to wines and beers. In particular, they have Asahi and Sapporo beer available. Coupled with the udon, could Dnata be targeting the Japanese travellers transiting in Singapore?

The food tasted decent. Coupled with the extensive selection of food and alcoholic beverages, we’d say that Dnata Lounge scored well in the food and beverage segment.

Showers at Dnata Lounge T1 Singapore Changi Airport

Next, we checked out the shower facility available at Dnata Lounge. There’s no need to draw keys or anything like that. Fresh towels were also available when we entered. The only gripe is that the showers are not cleaned per usage. Hence, it was wet when we entered – probably not the first choice in terms of showers for some.

Rest Areas in Dnata Lounge T1 Singapore Changi Airport

As for nap or rest areas, there were no specially designated areas. However, we noticed that there was a meeting room within the lounge with long sofa chairs. The lights were switched off and there were already a couple of passengers lying on them – probably buckling down for the night there.
