There’s no picture here because the poke was so good that we finished it and then realised we forgot to take a picture! At over 3000m, the peak of Haleakala National Park offers extensive views over the Pacific Ocean and at some points, allows you to “float among the clouds”. Remember to put on extra sunblock and bring the shades as the sun can be quite extreme at this height. A jacket is a must if you’re visiting for the sun sets…

5. Top 10 Things to do in Hawaii – Nakalele Blowhole (Maui)
While it is a little challenging to locate the entrance to the viewing area of Nakalele Blowhole, the views over the Pacific Ocean is simply breath-taking. The frequency of the spouts of Nakalele Blowhole is quite high and if you’re lucky, you might even see some friendly whales doing their migration like we did! A must if you’re visiting the island of Maui (Hawaii).
Tip: As you drive closer to the area (according to GPS), look out for scores of other cars that are parked along the road. You should be pretty near the entrance. It cannot be seen from the road and you’ll have to take a short walk (1 minute) from the parking spots.
